For anyone following the updated projected final table is as follows:

1) Rugby 89

2) Dunstable 87

3) Daventry 87

4) Barton 83

5) Slough 81

6) Kettering 79

7) Royston 74

I have now cut off Sycob and Northwood who are seemingly out of it for now

As I said at the end of the game, whatever Neil/Jon put in the players tea at half time, I want some ! I am sure someone will recall the last time we scored seven, but I cant at present.

The second half certainly answered the half time moans of some of us so thanks to the team and staff for giving us a great evening and a boost to the play off hopes.

Bit sad for Sean that he missed the pen after his great season so far but agree that it was a sort of justice as it was never a foul/MOTM close between several but Dan Sintim nicked it for me

Roll on Saturday !!

whaattt RR nothing about smithie not taking a penalty , though i think you might have overdone it a little at the match.

HT, I asked Bakes in the clubhouse why Sean Fraser took the penalty and not Smithy.

I think he said Sean was looking good on penalties in training.

Not too concerned as Smithy came good in the end for my prediction league points   B)

Was good to see you again, Adam. A better result this time too!

Thanks Ian.  Good to see you and the family again too.  Yeah, definitely wasn't expecting 7-1.  I'll be back again at some point but I'm not expecting it to be quite so easy as last night every time!

You certainly pickled a good game Adam, was good to meet you in the bar.

Thanks, you too.

Having been on the reverse of some cricket scores not so long ago (AFC Wimbledon and Bromley spring to mind) you have to feel somewhat sympathetic to NGU. Must admit following from a distance at 2-1 that missed chances would come back to haunt us, but sounded comfortable in the end.

Next two matches probably define the season. Need to get the points on Saturday to keep things ticking over, and then a touch match against Barton to follow.

Mark, I'm following the updates with interest. Looking at it myself and going based on fixtures and form I have it slightly differently with a couple of positional changes and it being a lot tighter on points finishing with only six points separating the top six.

I think there are plenty of twists and turns to come and every game for us is massive. Can't look beyond Royston and they've come back into a bit of form lately so need another big performances. COYR

Agree that there will be plenty of twists and turns....footballwebpages.co.uk have a very good predicted final table based on percentage probabilities of a W/D/L in each game. They currently have us finishing 4th but it being very tight.

At one point last week they have the top 3 finishing on the same points

Looks like goal difference could play a massive part on judgement day as long as we continue to collect the points. Continue to be very impressed by the attitude of the team and the ability of the management to navigate their way through the changes they have had to make to the squad as we have gone along. We certainly get value for money as our interest in recent seasons has gone right to the wire. It would be nice to run away with it and have it sewn up early but that would be boring, wouldn't it?

Think our last time scoring seven was 7-1 versus... Epsom? I remember Ian Hodges scored four.

Fantastic result, let's keep it going and make other teams worry about our form.

What about Dorking at home in the FA Trophy the season after....the week before we played Walsall

Will Dan Sintim be with us for the rest of season very good player who has just fitted into the team with ease big loss if he goes back to Met Police.

I think Clurgy has really gone up a gear since we signed Rummy and I was a bit concerned how he might perform once his partner had gone but I thought he was excellent again last night. I think he needs someone alongside him who doesn't mind sitting in front of the defence, like Dan did last night, while he goes off putting fires out around the pitch and getting into and around the box. His body language looks so much better, he's barking instructions at everyone and looks to be enjoying himself out there. I think he can be a massive player for us in the run in.

I don't know if the lads are training on Thursday but maybe a few corner drills are in order. James Dobson looked a bit confused at times at how we were positioned in the box and probably needs to learn the mysteries of corner 1 and corner 2!

That is certainly the plan. Jim Cooper at Met is happy for him to stay with us for as long as we need him which is great as he's a very nice lad and a good player who can play a number of roles for us.

We are indeed and that is in the plan funnily enough! Dobbo's quality from set pieces will be a big asset for us once we've worked on these with him. It's very hard to pick them up straight away when he only met us and his team-mates before the game but thought he did well.

Was it Epsom where the keeper ended in tears or was that Leatherhead?!
