Can someone confirm that this very nice young lad,is ok.He lay prone in the 6 yd box for at least 8 mins, during which the Ref(I will name him in another thread)firstly failed to bring play to an immediate halt, and was more concerned with booking a Player, and red carding him, than he was the health of the young keeper.Who had taken a serious knock too the head, definite concussion was evident after the game. When confronted by me after the game, the ref dissed his teeth, and touched my head, now if I had done that to him, would it been assault,he would of said so for sure. The irony is I have known Peter Crichlow for many years, even spoke to him at half time,we were going to get the train home together, but after todays performance,no player is safe in his hands.ALEX HOPE ALL IS WELL WITH YOU YOUNG MAN,must add he got first class treatment from the Bedfont Sports physio.

Jesus Smudge, you really need to leave the beer alone.

1) I also hope Alex is ok as it was a nasty collision.  No malice in the challenge, just a forward and keeper going for the ball.

2) How quick can someone stop a game?  Barley 2 seconds after the collision, Rob Lazarczuk scored and both benches sent on their physio's.

3) The ref was not more concerned with booking/sending off a player than allowing treatment.  As I said above, the physios went straight on just before the ref asked them to.  There was a minute or so before the player was sent off.

4) You say you 'confronted' the ref after the game.  Well you definitely went and spoke to him after the math as he walked off the pitch.  He most certainly did not 'diss his teeth' and he gently ruffled you hair.  If you want to call that assault then for the love of God, don't go into town on a Saturday night.

No, the ref did not have a great game in my eyes. You have picked up on a particular incident. There were many others that could have been scrutinised like:-

- Carl Dennisons challenge late in the match

- challenges going in from behind

- free kicks for non existent offences

- awarding of obvious throw ins to the wrong team

This was happening for both sides Smudge so I have no reason to back the ref anymore than you do.
