cup of tea
Well, we were hoping for a reaction after Tuesday and I think we've got it. Tight game that I think we edged. Might have got the rub of the green with one or two decisions but I think that makes up for Tuesday where we got absolutely nothing out of the ref. Sendings off - first one was dangerous, their player knew he was going to be late but went in anyway. Second one seemed to be a bit odd, not sure on that one. Great result just at the right time and sets us up for another tough game on Tuesday. Congratulations to all the Maidstone fans who walked to the ground over the last couple of days, painful experience. Good support and numbers from the Maidstone fans today as well. Does anyone like Wealdstone???

Miss.A.F.C.Hornchurch
Better performance after Tuesdays fiasco. However we did seem to take out foot of the peddle in the second half and should've taken more of the advantage in the second half with Maidstone only having 9 men on the pitch. However still think we were better than Maidstone, who i expected a lot more from. May be they cant play on a proper pitch! Thought the ref was inconsistent, but was right to send the first player of for Maidstone. Not sure whether the second should've been a red, but some refs would give it some wouldn't. Much better ref from Tuesday any way. A note to the Maidstone supporters, well travelled but be grateful for what you have got and where you are in the league! Sour grapes and all that!! Lord Upminster
A great result and much needed 3 points. The Stone fans have every right to be aggrieved as the second sending off seemed very harsh and they should of had a clear penalty as well. But we will take the win and look forward to another tough game on Tuesday. Come on You Urchins..............
Mr short
Much needed win,1st half thoroughly deserved our lead, but 2nd half boy was that painful to watch. Our defence gets deeper and deeper, which in turn completely affects the midfield who are basically spectators for latter period. This I feel is why we are struggling to maintain any consistency in quality of performance. 1st sending off correct,2nd one while quite petty,he was told to wait for the whistle and I don't believe it was a penalty either. Good debut from Danny,on a better surface I'm sure some of build up play we showed in the first period will bring better rewards.

paokman
Careful with Dulwich in the box, see one of their players, Oztumer, has scored ten from the spot. Just looked at leading scorers in the Ryman and George and Stefan are in the top five
bridgefan
Great ball (on the floor) by Frankie Curley to set up Stefan for the goal. Agree that the second sending off seemed petty but their 6 was already testing the patience of the ref and looked likely to be sent off imo a bit worrying that we were hanging on v 9 men
Lord Upminster
Could not agree more regarding struggling to hang on against 9 men. I think this was down to a lack of confidence and nerves especially straight after the disappointing Cray game. A couple of good results would help to put that right I feel. cup of tea
I think it was a combination of a lot of determination from Maidstone, perhaps a bit of nerves from us and just a case of (amazingly) getting a bit overrun in midfield. Jimmy changed the formation near the end and that stabilised it.

Mr short
When we mix our football up I think we look a very dangerous side,we have genuine pace which defenders don't like, defenders drop deeper and this should give space for our midfield to exploit, but when we resort to lumping it one end of the pitch to the other we look bang average and only moments of brilliance from George or Stefen has seen us win certain games. I really found our starting lineup refreshing,we had a real mix of talent on show. The problem I have with the 3 upfront is that I find it's an easy option to just launch the ball upfield without much thought or quality (like west ham). Rook is the only striker who likes to play with his back to goal,he can then bring our midfield into play, but without him holding the ball up our game becomes very stretched. And the other concern I have which I alluded to in my earlier post is that we have to maintain a higher line in the second half,I don't know whether Jim wants us to protect what we've got or not,but if he doesn't I'd like him to use some of his colourful language to ensure we push up. Looking forward to see how Dulwich cope with our surface, has the makings of being a cracker.
shrimper
i thought maidstone were lucky to end up with 9 players on the pitch!!! the way they surrounded the ref on every incident there would have been a few other refs that would have shown a few more cards than what they got the number 6 was always going to be sent off as he had been niggling the ref all through out the game they reminded me of the way wealdstone acted in the fa cup game with them .......danny phillips looks a good sigining had lots of energy seemed to get everywhere and showed some very good touches , i did think maidstone were going to score when they went down to 9 men at times it seemed like it was like the urchins were playing with 9 but ended up with a much needed 3pts and another 3 however we get them against dulwich on tuesday we do very nicely
