As there doesn't seem to be any reminders thought i would paste and post

Margate Football Club regrets to announce that we have had to re-arrange the planned Fans Forum that was due to be held on Friday 28th February in the Thanet Car Sports Bar.

The decision has been taken due to a function being booked already in the bar. A new date has already been set and the forum will now take place at 7:30pm in the Thanet Cars Sports Bar on Friday 21stMarch 2014.

The Club also hopes that by the time of the proposed date we will have further news to give to its supporters.

In attendance on the night will be the club’s Chairman / owner Bob Laslett, all Club directors and the First Team Manager Terry Brown.

Well I thought it was a fantastic meeting good presentation (needs a mic though) good open heart talk by Manager.  Yes i do not believe anyone would have gone away from that meeting feeling anything but positive.

Is there any information that could be posted on what happened at the fans forum for those of us who could not get there last night.  Any news on the ground development?  Apparently MS stated that it was a positive meeting.  Any information would be very much appreciated.

i will gladly take time and tel,l however one of the items was a new website which due to Ryan being out of action has delayed a little, so i would like to give the club a little time to enable them to communicate on this new site.

Just read the update on the fans forum which was very informative.  However was anything mentioned about the time frame for starting work?  It appears that a whole new application will have to be submitted to council. The positive side is that planning permission has already been approved for development, which should not be a stumbling block.  Mr Laslett has stated that letters have been sent out asking what people want there.  This would suggest that we are a long way off submitting plans.

I think the honest truth is he doesn't know, although he believes the council are very much on board, we know that our councillors are not interest too much in Thanet more about knocking the opposition. But let's hope its as quick as possible.

my best guess is summer 2015 best way-but probably summer 2016.

whats another year or two.

that given-and to be fair to Mr Laslett-some interim improvements are potentially being made-a plethora of portacabins-most importantly a better class of portacabin for the players and officials, possibly upgraded floodlights and some shelter at the coffin end;and that's more than enough to keep me happy for another 24 months.

I do notice however that the official site says that temporary shelter at the coffin end is being considered-which is very different to its happening which is what mr Laslett said on friday.

at least there is movement,so i'm a happy chappy for now.
