Hanworth x1 0 v 0 South Park

Raynes Park Vale 4 v 3 Mole Valley SCR

Cannot believe that not one poster has commented about the scores and happenings at tonights games.

Take away Chris Claphams posts and this once great site would be as dead as the EXTINCT AUSTRALIAN  BIRD.

Anyway a great night for Bedfont Sports Fans as they overcome 10 man Molesey 1-0,it was a very even game until the Molesey player got sent of rightly for a 2 footed off the ground tackle. This moved Sports out of the bottom 3.The 3 Officials were excellent.

The highlight of the evening for me was after ordering a Beer at the bar,the Barlady said the gentleman at the end of the Bar has paid for it, RESULT.I was in total shock why would a stranger to me buy me a beer. Not being shy I approached this well dressed Gentleman, and enquired as to his name The reply ALAN MAYNARD,who was at the game supporting Molesey F.C.his reply was he bought me a beer as a thank you for getting a stretcher and carrying the stretcher off the pitch with an injured player on  2 years ago, during the Epsom and Ewell v Molesey game,.What a lovely thank you, much appreciated ALAN.By the way Nice Guy/Bad Guy drinks stella when asked if he would like a drink, sadly they did not sell Stella at Benfont Sports,so he had to make do with a 1664.

Hanworth Youth held South Park 0 v 0 no suprise there as far as I'm concerned, lets hope the U/16s can do the job against Alton.

News!!! Moleseys pitch is being relayed as I speak,so their next home fixture will be played at Cobham FC.

It looks as if the youth policies of clubs is paying off. Hanworth using an array of under 18 players, Mick at Bedfont has been an advocate of the youth policy for years and I saw Ashford in the week except for a couple of 30+ the rest were all at a very early stage of their career. Daventry in a playoff position were made to look an ordinary team and Ashford WON

It seems that there is a Hotbed of local young talented players around that area at the moment.Long may it last,it always has the added benefit of getting more people through the Turnstile,Mum,Dad,Uncle,Grandad,Girlfriend, are normally more supportive as well. This increases Gate revenue,Food and Bar takings, its a winner for the Clubs for sure.

on the flipside of that it can also be the other way families dont come dont use the bar an the youngsters get a coke and leave thus affecting the bar takings, match day income.

just because they play for a club doesnt mean they have to put money into it.
