Programmes

Not sure what cheap is really. We pay £1 per copy for a 16pp (4 a pages) booklet. It's not even a fancy cover. As we don't even sell them we operate quite a big loss over a season.

I know the bloke who does the Hemel programme operates at a loss as well.

Best solution to be honest is to try and sell the programme sponsorship to cover the cost.

We get ours done at Mail Box (have used 2 branches) we spoke to them and asked for a quote and explained how many we would want and how many games over the season they are very reasonable.

Thanks Nellie, do you have a contact e mail or phone for them.

http://www.mbe.co.uk/luton  Looking at the postcode of your ground this link is the nearest one to you.

We spoke to them told them what we wanted and how many games through the season and they were happy to quote us a reasonable price.  We also half way through this season told them we would put half page advert in our programme free of charge and they now charge us even less!!

By the way they are usually a franchise so all different but sure they would welcome your business.

OD's - There was a time when Kentish Town's programme won awards even beating Hoddesdon Town to Division 1 programme of the year in 2006/2007.

That's cos it WAS Hoddesdon Towns programme....

Jonno - Come on, it was a couple of crossword puzzles and an advert for Molten balls, that was it. I remember you, Roger and Jane were as sick as parrots when the announcement was made at the AGM in June 2007.

I don't recall seeing you at the time of the announcement. I wasn't at the AGM. In fact, I don't recall seeing you at all in the following 12 months. How do you deduce I was as sick as a parrot?

Well weren't you then, I was at Lowfield the following season and at the Copthall Stadium just before Kentish Town wrapped up the championship

No, I wasn't present at either of those games due to work commitments.

So the question remains, how do you deduce that I was as sick as a parrot??

  • 2 months later...

Who is likely to win the three Divisional awards at the AGM, sorry, I mean the Division 1 and Division 2 awards

My guess would be Hatfield Town, Kentish Town and Brimsdown
