Enfield Town v Hampton & Richmond

Great performance and result for Town on Tuesday night and now another BIG BIG match for George and our players at the QE2 Stadium this afternoon.

Our opponents Hampton & Richmond are comfortably placed in the league, but we need the points big time. We have got to make home advantage tell, with the full backing of the Enfield Ultras and all other Town supporters.

A win today, against good opposition, and another three points, will underline our determination and ability to stay in the Ryman Premier League.

We can do it. Very best of luck today everybody. Let's really go for it !

Great first half for Town, made even better with East Thurrock  3-0 down at Wealdstone. Grays, who we host on Tuesday evening, are 0-3 down at home to Carshalton.

Should be an interesting second half at the QE2.

Fantastic result for the Town today and with East Thurrock losing 5-0 at Wealdstone that really narrows the goal difference gap.

Not sure what Grays were doing today losing 1-4 at home to Carshalton, but we can look forward with confidence to Tuesday nights match.

The last time we won 3-0 was away to Hendon at the beginning of February.

Very well done to George and our lads........you have really done us proud today!

Not much news on here about the good win yesterday. Deserved victory taking up above that dreaded line where four go down. Still a long way to go and the players need to be aware that their performances cannot drop. I am sure George has instilled this in them.

Well done and here's looking forward to another three points on Tuesday.

Could have been a different result when H&R hit the post with a header on about 15 minutes after some good work down the right.

Kirby had a great shot saved when the ball broke to him wide right just inside the box. A very good save by the keeper.

For the first goal, Corey danced down the right and cut the ball back, Liam Hope made a great run to get in front of the defender and steer the ball home. A simple goal but well taken.

Second was a joy to watch. Some good build up play down the left, I think Joe Stevens passed the ball into Jamie Richards. Being a football genius, he dummied it for Corey, who took it in his stride, one touch to make room past two defenders, and then a superb shot from the edge of the box into the roof of the net. Keeper had no chance.

H&R tried in the second half to get back into the game, but without really threatening Imber too much.Third goal killed them off, the ball broke to Jamie Richards at the edge of the box after a scrambled clearance from H&R, his finish looked like it took a deflection past the keeper in no man's land, a bit scrappy but Richards' deserved it after another good hardworking performance up front.

Corey rightly got the plaudits and MOTM, but every player played well. Midfield did particularly well and din't allow H&R many opportunities to penetrate the defence.

The team looks very well organised now, and they deserve the praise they're getting, but as stated above hopefully George and Barry can keep them grounded.
