Bromley - Properly this time

Right then, I'll try not to let this thread descend into myself and darebelboy having a tizzy this time. Very simple equation for this evening's game, we beat Bromley and we go above them in the table and up to 9th...... been a while since we've reached the dizzy heights of being in the top ten, so lets not let this opportunity pass us by. Currently 2nd to 8th is separated by just two points so we need to catch up with that group ASAP and get our league season back on track. A third of the way through the season and I'm working on the assumption that top spot is beyond us, 18 points behind Lewes already does not make for happy reading. But the top 6 is a must and a few wins on the trot from here will get us up there.

As I write the weather is shocking and I fear a lot of us are going to get very wet tonight. Lets hope the boys don't dampen things further and put in another lacklustre performance. The frontline is working well at the moment with Hodgy and Miller getting the goals and Tony Boot surely back in the starting line up sooner rather than later. Other bright spots are currently few and far between. Alex Haddow is vastly improved on where he was a month ago and I for one appreciate the hard work he has been putting in. Chopper when given the chance to play is looking like a decent player and Freddie has had a couple of good games though he won't be playing 2 games a week from here on. Fossy has made some good saves but the rest of the team needs to step up a gear. Barras has been a big disappointment since he came back from the plods and Spencer has only really showed up for the East Grinstead and Banstead matches which we won comfortably. Its a shame because both players are capable of so much more and when hitting form are superb assets to this club. Roll up your sleeves boys, your club needs YOU! Won't get started on the defence because I could do with not getting worked up at this time of day!

Three points needed tonight Eddie. We'll be there in the rain supporting the lads. Make sure they know what they've got to do.

Good positive vibes from BFR....

True lets get behind the team ...all the way to the final whistle....even if we are behind !!!!

I might even stand behind the goal tonight as long as Dom does not start singing....

see you tonight......

Please inform the team that I will be a little late tonight...but I will be there....

Cheers Chris

At the moment the squad has a nice mix of youth and experience, but where do you draw the line between experience and past it?

Realisticly Daly,Barras,Wilko and Hyatt are all coming to the end of their careers ie this season.

I agree with BFR Barras has been a dissapointment this season,Steer cant be left on the bench any longer!

If i was Eddie tonights starting line up would be as follows-

.........Foster........

Browne.Daly.Gyoury.Steer

Spencer...Wilko...Haddow

..........Boot.........

.....Miller..Hodge......

Subs-Barras,Harris,Hyatt,Bartley,Seedal(If he's still with us)

THe obvious problem with that formation Dom is the fact that Gurney Gyoury has missed the last few games through injury, and Daly has been playing despite obviously still being injured. From what I've seen of him Murphy seems fairly accomplished so he needs to be in there somewhere.
