A Rebel and a Saint
Just see the news on the official site. Looks like he is out for at least 6 months with a snapped cruciate ligament. I'd like to wish him a speedy recovery from this and I am sure he will bounce back strong.
Hammer_rebel
Such a massive player going to be missed on the pitch!
Graham Cox
Huge blow..............that Egham game has proved costly in more ways than one. And I am still convinced it was a bad foul that caused the injury........and no card given. We get punished for another team's misdemeanours ! Matt
More important than football is that Adam is self-employed and won't be able to work for a while. I think Neil spoke about arranging a collection, and I will happily contribute.
RebelDelaney
A top class defender who will be solely missed not only by the supporters but also the rest of his team mates and management at this important period of the season. Adam wishing you all the best over the coming months in your recovery.
A Rebel and a Saint
Graham - I've just looked at the extended myfc video highlights and from what I can see there is no evidence of anything more than the kind of tangling and a push from behind by the Egham player that happens many times in every game. Sue
Absolutey gutted he will be greatly missed. I have told him he can help me in the club shop if he wants, not confident he will take up the offer though. Hope you are up and running soon Adam x
Egg&Ham
As an Egham Fan This is very sad News for Adam and Your Team Hope he comes back Stronger next year as he is a top player. Good Luck Adam from the Sarnies
Manor Park Rebel
A huge loss for the team and a personal disaster for Adam but someone now has to take the opportunity to step up and stake a claim for that place. Hope there isn't too much of an impact on his ability to do his job and wish him all the best for a quick recovery.
Martin
Really gutted for him, it looked horrible at the time and it is a shame it has proven to be a bad one. Completely agree with Neil and Webby we will need to arrange some sort of fundraiser to help him out.

Curtis
The Pledgebank has hit it's lower target within 48 hours (if you wish you can still pledge on the above link).... the minimum achieved through this for Adam will be £400, which I think is a very good start. Smudge
Really gutted for him, it looked horrible at the time and it is a shame it has proven to be a bad one. Completely agree with Neil and Webby we will need to arrange some sort of fundraiser to help him out. How about doing a Chertsey for him. The players donate a weeks money, and the Club donate half of the gate money, now that would be a great gesture. When the Chertsey players did it for Craig Bradshaw, the Referee on the day, donated his Fee also.Shows togetherness. Neil Baker
The players are already doing something very similar Smudge!!! They will all be contributing to the pot!
lino
Are players not insured at this level for injury pay-outs.When I ran a Sunday team even they were insured.
eightpints
What about Berkshire & bucks fa they had the benevolent cup for injuries
Smudge
Unfortunately it pays peanuts, not what the lad needs at the moment.
Neil Baker
Every club has to insure the players, however the policy pays something like £50 a week, after 14 days off, so max we may be able to receive for Adam for this is £150 potentially!! As mentioned he has a personal protection policy also, but due to his job classification has a waiting period before any claim, and is designed to protect him for long term injuries/illnesses, rather than a few weeks. This will not kick in, in this instance.
Hammer_rebel
The bottom line is we can raise money for Adam and have some fun doing it! I love all the ideas so far and I know that when in a trade esp self employed it's life changing if can't raise any other funds to keep going! Just glad we have supportive fans and a great team to help Adam!
