Jon Underwood
Hi everyone. This Sunday I am running the Fleet Half Marathon to raise money for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research along with my wife and one of our best friends. The 3 of us know people who have battled/are battling with blood cancers and we therefore would like to raise as much money as possible to help the charity continue to find causes, improve early and accurate diagnosis and develop safer and more effective treatements for blood cancer patients. I realise this request for donations is coming quite late in the day but due to a calf injury sustained running the Reading Half Marathon less than two weeks ago I have been concerned that I wouldn't be able to run. I have given myself a fitness test tonight though and passed with flying colours thanks to the treatment that 'Super Kev' has been giving me over the past week or so! Any donation however small would be massively appreciated. All details are contained in the link below... http://www.justgiving.com/UnderwoodsandEgan Thank you! BFR
All the best for the run Jon. Cheeky fiver donated by me. Let us know your result - suspect it will be quicker than my half marathon next weekend!
Jon Underwood
Thank you, much appreciated BFR! I did 1hr 56 at Reading but was suffering with a calf injury most of the way round. If it doesn't flare up again on Sunday then I'd hope to get closer to 1hr 45 but will have to see, I'll be happy just to get round in one piece again to be honest! Will let you know how it goes. BFR
Think I'd take 1hr 56! I'll be disappointed not to finish inside 2 hrs but think 1hr 45 will prove a bit too challenging.

BFR
Good work Jon - wouldn't have fancied the half yesterday with the warmer weather. Praying for a couple of hours of cold and grey for my run this Saturday!
