We know it's your mate's birthday and you might have had a drinkie with him but we need you to elucidate on what we saw this afternoon please !

After sleeping on it there is only one thing to say on the subject - NO PASSION.  If we were to be given a hatful of money to buy/sign any player we wanted to bring the crowds back to HDP then Im sure we would all give it a go, but although the players on show yesterday were undoubtedly gifted and fluent they were NOT a team, and didnt show as much desire and (heres that word again) passion that we have seen from our team in recent years.  A building process for a league winning team for next year that in my opinion has'nt had the plans approved yet let alone had them drawn up - TBs CV reads like a been there seen it and done it book but at this present moment in time he needs to go back to basics with this obviously talented (and expensive) team.  If I were Bob Laslett I would be expecting us (the team) to be steamrolling miniscule teams around us 4/5/6 nil, exactly how long he will bankroll this is open for speculation but going by how successful he was in business I would say toleration of under achieving wont be a strong suite of his.  On a bright note I thought Charlie Allen had a good game and was always looking to get into open space, shame some of our players couldnt oblige him.

defence is ok unlucky error for the second goal beales will be out for at least a couple of weeks it looked like hamstring injury and wassamer 2 match ban a big problem tho. attacking was terrible kingston keeper was untested all afternoon, Louis looked great when he played for hendon against us but yesterday was poor but the lack of service to him is probably why. .Allen knocked off the ball far too easily for me

i think its easy to go down the 'passion route when we lose;and overall-i don't think there was any real lack of effort.

problem is-margins are so fine; that if everyone is at 95% as opposed to 99%,multiplay that by 11 and it does make a massive difference.

I thought first half was as good as anything i have seen for 6 months, second half-not so great-but you will never play well for 90 minutes-the skill is toughing it out when the opposition are in the ascendancy-and margate so rarely are able to do that.

both goals conceded a bit freaky.

surprised Phipps not on from start-maybe taking the brunt of TB's wrath from tuesday-but surely he is best midfielder, and need his height and strength in there.

Whilst i remain uncomfortable with the timing and manner of his appointment, not his fault-and i firmly believe TB will get us there .

I did think the green shoots were there to see in the first half yesterday, but overall, there probably wasn't too much to say from either side about the match itself-i got more excited about the site of a few new new portacabins, and i thought some of the routines in the pre-match warm up were pretty good
