Billericay Town
Opening the month the wonderful Bad Influence bring their gutsy R&B style of blues back to the club for another very welcome return visit. As Paul Dean writes: 'This is, without a doubt, one of the best blues bands on the circuit and it defies all logic that they have not had the recognition they so richly deserve and be rubbing shoulders with the elite of the blues world. In Val Hayes, with her soulful and powerful vocals, they have one of the best vocalists to be heard in the style of Bonnie Raitt and Janis Joplin and she is supported by some of the finest musicians on the circuit.Guitarist Richard Hayes is a master at squeezing every ounce of passion from his guitar and is one of the finest players to have graced our stage. They have the superb Peter Stroud on bass who also plays with Buddy Whittington and was bassist for Peter Green’s Splinter Group and on drums, Harry James, also from the rock bands Thunder and Magnum.'I totally agree with Paul. I have had the very great pleasure of seeing, and introducing, Bad Influence quite a number of times and they never fail to entertain and give of their all. This is a gig which you will not want to miss if you already know Bad Influence, and if you don't, then this is even more pf a gig you do not want to miss!
