Swifty
Brilliant display. By a huge margin our best of the season, with the first 35 minutes in particular taking us back to the good old days. A luckless and undeserved draw, as we dominated for much of the game and, although Aylesbury had a number of efforts which either went wide or straight at Tyler, we were definitely worthy of all three points. A tremendous effort by all concerned. Not helped at all by the officials. The ref failed to caution former Ash Tree (and dirtiest player on the pitch) Adam Logie, who could have walked for three awful first half fouls, including a 1950's style lunge at an airborne Tyler. A real shame to see a talented player drop to pub team standards. Also, how the ref and lino on the 'two stands' side failed to give a penalty when Conor was shirt-pulled down to the ground late on was beyond belief. Rhys Price was my man of the match. A real engine, some great touches, and superb running into positions and closing defenders down. The lad looks a real find and one for the future. Having said that, we had 13 heroes on the pitch during the game. Yes, we lost shape and concentration at times, but the commitment, effort and determination were wonderful. In a way it makes me angry, to see the lads play like playoff contenders so late in the season. There's still time, though. Play like that for the rest of the season, keep pulling together, and we may just force a miracle. Proud, lads. Thanks.
