Miss.A.F.C.Hornchurch
Finally, after ages of requesting (only over a year) AFC Hornchurch has been given a box, in the help in the community scheme. The box is in Waitrose in Upminster, and if you get given a little green token with your receipt at the till, do the right thing and put it in the AFC Hornchurch box. I believe that the box is there for a bout a month? We are up against Upminster Bowling club and a Church Play group. The club can get up to £1000, or a £1000 is split in three ways. Miss.A.F.C.Hornchurch
just an update; currently level with the bowling club but in front so far is the Kids playgroup (no surprise). When i was in Waitrose tonight two lots of people put into the Hornchurch box. So was pleased to see that happen while i was there. The little green token are obtained from the till after your purchase has been made. Our box is the one on the left. So make sure you put the tokens in that one
paokman
Yes, oh great one. To hear is to obey. Put my token in our box this morning as had the little girl with her mum in front of us. Tho' as mum said the little girl isn't able to read yet so it was a lucky guess. Looks like we are in third place.

Big J R
Waitrose , which is part of the John Lewis consortium. Their staff aren't 'staff' at all, but 'Partners'. Out of all the big chain supermarkets, they tend to be the best at supporting their local communities.
