Crikey, finally an either or fixture list, not before time. However C&H and Epsom Ath,have to play 22 league home fixtures in 3 months, having only played 15 in 7 months.Yet both are still in the Combination Cup,and League Cup,which take precedence it seems.

Again our game against Kingstonian is very doubtful, Havent been able to do any work on it today with a good half off the pitch under water & its still raining here in Ash when posting this comment.

Will be hoping the weathermen are right with their forecast that it will be a dry night & day tomorrow & then just maybe i will get a chance to get this game underway but not as confident as ive been in recent weeks

Fixture has just been put back 24hrs to give us a better chance of it being played so this game now kicks off at 7.30pm on Wednesday

Get Surrey F.A.to switch the game to Kingsmeadow.Do feel sorry for you though, all the hard work you put in to get a game on,is to be applauded.

Wimbledon's 'home' game in the London Senior Cup vs Cray is also being played this Wednesday, at Beckenham! This is another tie that has had several goes at being played. Ironically you would feel that both ties would already be done and dusted if they had taken place at Kingsmeadow. I understand that both clubs have been allowed to play all 'home' ties at the away ground to preserve the Kingsmeadow pitch. Have to say that i'm surprised that this is allowed. Do the away teams have any say in this?

Nope we've had no say on it apart from the date when it's being played (well some off the dates)

Thats why Big? Teams should not be allowed to enter the Mickey Mouse Cups. Can remember when fixtures involving Woking,Kingstonian,Aldershot Town,Tooting and Mitcham were played in front of decent crowds (1000 plus) when they played nigh on their 1st Teams.Little Clubs of which Croydon Athletic were one, earnt good money out of the nights, even though they got beat 7-0,5-1,3-1,5-0.

A few years back Woking put their first team out against Camberley at Kingfield.  We got hammered and only 200 fans watched instead of 1,000 which was their average home gate.

Not only the clubs to blame fans are no better of the bigger clubs.

I am sure some FA admin wannabee has some power somewhere. Suspend all Mickey Mouse cups until July, league games only and if the home team can't host a fixture and the away team can, away team has right to host at their ground, if they want to. (If they don't want to, nobody gets anything and the game is deemed played with no points to either side) It won't stop the rain, but it will reward those who work to get a playable pitch.

I remember reading that for Wimbledon cup games a crowd of 600 is needed to breakeven. These days such is the feeling about these cups, and the fact we put out our Development squad that figure is rarely even half reached.

So the oppostiion would make no money out of the fixture. At least if the play it at home and 200 people turn up, buy beer etc they can possibly get some money from it.
