The simple answer is because you ground share and Barton are at home. The other consideration is if you were ever scheduled to play this week.

That withstanding you could play Winslow away, which would move the fixture from the last day of the season. But I don't know if the league plan to move fixtures forward from the original date.

That's (sort of) what I meant. Surely there's a team that we haven't yet played that we could do on Saturday home or away? I know it would be a bit short notice but I'm sure we're all in the same 'boat' too many games not enough time

Our grass pitch is in working order now as far as I know, if Stoney can use theirs with an early KO then why can't we?!

I think the problem would be that if we did reschedule the game for this Saturday, we both wouldn't gain anything really other than the season ending a week early for both of us, if we were scheduled to be playing each other midweek it would make a lot of sense to reschedule the game for a free Saturday.

I can see your point to an extent regarding the pitch. However Stony's was due to their other pitch been unplayable rather than unavailable. However, the league once again have made a decision not aligned with others they make. So confusion reigns.

If you look on the fixtures for the date on mitoo it lists all teams not playing.

With Kentish winning tonight, I've heard that means our game against Kentish will be rescheduled due to the cup semi final being played on the Tuesday night we were due to play Kentish, having had a look at the teams we are still left to play and the teams without a game on that night, was wondering what the chances are of the South Mids changing either the Home game against Langford for that Tuesday night so we aren't left without a game?

Edit - Having had a look again it looks like it would only work with the Langford game as Kentish Town don't have a game scheduled for the 8th of April, so the 2 dates could effectively be swapped, without too much hassle, seemingly, that is of course if I have heard correctly

DIVISION ONE

1-1 Baldock Town v Harpenden Town

A report from another Forum:

South Midlands Division 1

BALDOCK TOWN 1-1 HARPENDEN TOWN

Admission £5.00 Prog £1.00 CBC & C £4.70 Tea £1.00

Attendance 48 (yeah, right)

Fresh after their demolitions of Kentish Town and Chesham Reserves, Harpenden came up against something of a brick wall in Baldock who were playing what I believe was their first "home" game since before Christmas. Baldock led at half time through a penalty and early in the second won a free kick to which the visitors reacted by reconstructing THAT photo of the ManUre players bearing down on the referee. A short spell of Harpenden pressure later on was rewarded with the equalizer, but neither side could break through to force the winner.

Pitch cut up slightly, but no real cause for concern which is more than could be said for the back of the large open terrace down the far end, much of which seems to have collapsed. Still, the chips remain hot, crispy and plentiful.
