geoff pay
Took in the Bromley v Bath city game yesterday as ours was off. Thought Phill might be on the bench. Lo and behold he played a full game at left midfield come left back. He did o.k. lots of heart and spirit but it was his former club. He looked part of the team. Came up for set pieces but only got his head to one of them. Excellent game in front of nearly a thousand. Lovely pitch and end to end stuff. Dean Pooley played for Bromley too. Thanetian Since 75
Left midfield!? Centre half, centre forward and now midfield. Wow,he certainly gets about. Cant really picture him as a typical midfielder To me,he was always the "target man "up front and the" big lump" at the back.(Mind you,he turned like the Torrey Canyon when at the back!) Hope he's gonna have an off day when we turn up on Tuesday night
michael
I guess another one who did not fit in with TB Us mere supporters only see one tenth of what is going on (and probably understand even less) but just seems slightly odd that we effectively swap the clubs top goalscorer who has and can play at a higher level-for another clubs top goalscorer who is significantly more mature. time will again tell, but for me ,you can only have so much transition/disruption. some may even say that one highly valued management skill is the ability to make more than one's predecessor out of existing resources-certainly short term-and then slightly more gradually eveolve/develop the team to your own way of thinking. upthegate
Our loss, Baths gain. Always gave 100% and more than good enough to get us to the next level, which is what everybody says is the next aim. Beats me ......

Beats me ...... 13 goals was'nt |(IMO) enough for a striker in this league, 100% workrate does not a goal scorer make........
