Saturday 1st March Fixtures

Had a nice day out at Horley Town,it did not start to well though as the traffic on the A23 was horrendous, took me over 1 hour to travel 3 miles by bus to meet my kind lift from Footy Mad to the ground.I was only 15 mins late, but being the gentleman he is,he kindly waited for me,many would have left me behind. The Horley groundstaff had worked really hard to get the pitch in decent condition for the game to be on,Thanks.Whilst having a beer in the bar pre match, had the pleasure to have a long chat, with the CCL Vice Chairman Mr.Ford, who has been with the League, under different League names since 1976.Ironically the Refs name was Mr Ford also, who had an excellent game, ably assisted by 2 excellent linesman,Mr Humphries,Mr Wells.Horley laid on  for 6 young boys and girls,to be mascots for the day,a nice touch.that other Clubs should try.Horley were missing 4 regular starters, but the Young Bedfont Sports side, thoroughly deserved their 2-0 win, very suprised that HTFCsupporter, did not start himself in this game,or even come on.As Horley definitely lacked a leader on the pitch. His brother however Nathan, provided the highlight of the day, reminiscent of Serie A,Collapsed as though a Truck had hit him, with similar vocal accompniment,in the penalty area, when no player was within a yard of him.An acting job awaits him.Nice to meet Robbie Burns dad,Ali Rennie, and Wazzano1 and have a chat, and a beer
