Hellenic Ground Grading

Recommended Posts

I had already heard that grade G will be implemented re CCL clubs March 2015. Those that do not have that grade (or above) will be removed from the league. This is a nationwide decision.

Does read like that Chris.  FA decision.

mind you March 15 is a long way off yet and things can change.

In the Hellenic cant see Finch ever having lights due to their cricket club being bigger than the football club.

Wokingham will struggle too.

The CCL received the same email from the FA and it was relayed to all Division One Clubs last week.

As stated in our comments when forwarding the email, given that Eversley & C, and Spelthorne are working towards their grading, and given that South Kilburn have resigned from the League at the end of the season, the three clubs with work to do if they are to stay with us are Farleigh Rovers, Sheerwater and Worcester Park.

So going by the above comments, the CCL Div 1,will become defunct by season 15/16,or run with 13 clubs.Farleigh,Worcester Park,Sheerwater, will never obtain the grading. To obtain the permission,a Club needs a driving force behind them, which these Clubs do not have.Sheerwater did have that drive, but unfortunately the driver left.Likewise they had a reasonable website, and results on the field did improve, but that driver left also. They did have a reasonable squad, but alas 3 key players left, culminating in 0 wins in 7.

Good to see that the FA have grass roots football in their hearts. It begs the question what is the point then of having a separate step 5 and Step 6? Why not just lump everyone into a big pot and increase the number of leagues in Step 5. Or will it give the green light for a radical reorganisation of Steps 5 and 6 resulting in fewer leagues at Step 5? Sometimes, I really wonder about the people at the top of the game in this country and whether they really care.

How about this scenario, 15/16 is the break off point as far as ground grading for Step 6 Clubs.Worcester Park,Sheerwater,Farleigh Rovers, fail to get the ground grading,so the league is down to 13.But it could get worse,Windsor,Epsom and Ewell,Camberley Town ,all have disastorous seasons, and are relegated.Whilst Eversley,Staines Lammas,Spelthorne, gain promotion, would this mean the end of these bigger Clubs as far as semi pro Football is concerned. As no League in the pyramid runs with 13 teams. The F.A. HAVE NOT GOT A CLUE,they do not give a damn about Step 5/6,and never have. You wait and see they will save Corinthian Casuals by hook and by crook,if they finish in a relegation position,South Park on ground grading? I hope not,but they fooked Guildford over a small thing.Ashford Utd/Whyteleafe to Ryman div 1 north.

The FA could have enforced the grading changes a few seasons ago if they so wished yet have given clubs a lot of time to get the facilities required.  At some point there has to be a cut off.

I would suggest you will see only 20 in the Premier Division and maybe 16-18 in the Step 6 league.

Just one promotion spot then Kroons?

Sheerwater should be fine one way or another, work was done behind the scenes to make sure they keep senior status with the pending ground grading rules hanging over their heads.

No.  2 or 3 would be fine YV.

Ohh, that explains it ;) I was meaning to get the prem to 20 teams at the end of this season. If the three at the bottom of prem go down then there would be one place to go up to make the 20, or am I missing something, again.

Could the Hellenic go to Prem and Div 1 like us?

Our div 1 could incorporate what is available from their East division then!

good idea but the div 1 grounds in the hellenic are mostly in a worse state that those who do not have the grading in the CCL
