South Park's pitch is not that bad. We took the opportunity to make arrangements to give us the best chance of playing a game at every available opportunity should the bad weather we have all endured continued. We would like to thank the clubs who assisted us in arranging the provisional fixtures.

Having played at home on Saturday as things stand we are confident of playing at home tomorrow against Colliers Wood Utd However as with most grounds at the moment the water table is so high it does not take a lot of rain for the situation to change.

That makes sense, no game for Cove then it would appear

If that's the case why can't the league and teams agree for the match to played at Cove (as they did with Hanworth at the weekend) - rather than allow Park to arrange back up fixtures, who else is doing this!

With the season not being extended (and rightly so) surely the league need to have this as a standard rule that a fixture can be switched to the away team if the home pitch is unplayable?

It's an interesting argument, but clubs need home games to bring in revenue, which is more important in most cases than the game, especially if they aren't going up. If they lose half a dozen as Chessington might, following this example, that's not really fair on them. Again, if a rule like this was brought in, it has to be from the start of the season, as you can't just change things around without a good reason, and let's be honest, this season (if the weather improves from this point forward) could prove to be a better one than last season and will be quickly forgotten by everyone apart from those near the Thames and in Somerset. No knee jerk reactions are required. Yet.

As lazarus also said, the other alternative is to kick teams like that out, but it won't happen, because in requires the majority of teams to vote for it (should it even be proposed in the first place) and teams will never do that to other teams.

I've said all season about how well organised South Park are. Their off the field team is already playing at Step Four and there is nothing to stop other clubs from thinking ahead. It's called being pro-active. Credit should also be due to our League officials who allowed South Park into the league in the first place, even though facilities weren't quite ready. Many others would have turned them away, I'm sure. #caringleague!

This may well be the case. Watch this space.

South Park have confirmed to the League that they expect their match to go ahead tomorrow.

The fixture Chessington & Hook v Cove has now been reversed by agreement and will be played at Cove tomorrow, as Cove's home fixture.  Chessington are hoping to resume home matches this coming Saturday.

Whether or not the season can be extended still rests with the FA.  They have not yet made any decision, having decided to set up a sub-committee to make the decision, which will not be made until the beginning of March.  I won't comment on that, although I am sure that one or two might do so..

If the season is extended, we will look at some of the Thursday fixtures in particular to see if it would help clubs to play either on Sat 3 May or in the week before, and possibly the Monday Bank Holiday (5th).  I will do my best to ensure that all the clubs looking at promotion or relegation all finish on the same day, although I cannot guarantee it.

So again, Chessington & Hook pitch still not playable its a farce, but it makes sense for them to play games away as they seem to prefer that after their good win on Saturday at The Ranch being their HOME game...  Playing away tomorrow at Cove, being Cove's home game makes sense so both teams get a game and of course the fixture has been completed as

opposed to going on the list of backlog fixtures.

C&H last home game was on 7 December almost 11 weeks ago, presume Epsom Ath. haven't played since them either...crazy !

I can see that Sat, Tues, Thurs, Sat fixtures are about to take place, so big squads needed !

I'm sure there is an easy solution to the problem Bad Guy, I just can't put my finger on it right now. Maybe you should go down with your magic wand and fix it for them. Your constant digger at C&H suggests to me that you have never been involved in the running of a club and your still sat in your nice guy arm chair.

It can be frustrating for everyone when games are constantly postponed because the pitch isn't playable but I think if anyone is aware of the problem it will be C&H. What do you suggest they do, pick some money off the tree that grows in their back garden and have the pitch relayed like Colliers Wood did? CW were in this position before and just ask them what it takes and how long to get to where they are now.

I can understand a bit of banter but your constant digging is getting on my nerves. This is a football community and your picking on a neighbour and it's getting my back up and I have nothing to do with C&H. Try going and helping them!!!!

What do you expect them to do?

No criticism of C&H at all, surely they want games on as much as anyone. I do think the decision re letting Epsom ground share there could have been made with a little more foresight

People raised that issue at the start of last season when it started, but it's their pitch and their choice. No one here apart from CCL officials can do anything about it, and even their options are limited.

I have certainly had a wind up at their expense in the past. I referred to their pitch requiring an emergency pre-match inspection when one enthusiastic supporter spilt their tea over the fence and onto the pitch! But there is no malice there, even though they keep beating us!

It's a difficult climate, financially as well as meteorologically, and clubs need to think ahead to publicise themselves. It's silly really, we all compete on the pitch, but only a handful realise that it should be equally competitive off the field when it comes to getting your team an advantage on your local rivals especially as there are only so many supporters to go around.

I've been telling our lot that for years but the penny hasn't dropped yet.

Maybe the ground share was to get revenue for pitch improvements H.

Quite possibly, it's a tough one, just difficult when a pitch is notorious for having issues with games off to then nearly double the amount of games. Without the money though it may never improve.

It's a shame because they get it lovely in the summer generally
