Just got in from our game against Amersham, it was a far from vintage performance I have to say, 1st half we were very poor and were lucky to be on level terms, let alone leading and it was only by a great finish from Vinny who on the turn volleyed the ball into the top corner that got us back into the game in the first half, the first half was overshadowed by a very unfortunate incident which saw us take the lead as Vinny and the keeper slid in for a 50/50 35 yards from goal and the keeper went down injured as the ball rolled into the back of the net. The 2nd half was delayed by about 20 minutes as the keeper was treated by Ambulance staff as it appeared he had broken his leg. In the 2nd half we were average at best but Claude scored 2 goals both good finishes as we scored a comfortable win in the end.

I would like to wish the Amersham Town keeper a speedy recovery.

A special mention to everyone's favourite scapegoat Perry who was superbly behaved throughout the game and was very concerned for Amersham's keeper the moment he went down, he stayed with the Amersham keeper trying to do all he could to help, he gets a lot of unfair criticism from certain people on this forum, but today just showed the class of the bloke!!

Not 'everyone's scapegoat' but he has his moments!!

London Tigers 1-3 Berkhamsted

Att. Approx 21 (mainly Berko)

On a very boggy pitch Berko slipped and slid their way to another 3 points with goals from Calcutt, big Ed and Mannion, after going behind to a well worked goal as the Berko defence was sleeping. The pitch really didnt help the game as a spectacle with players slipping as they tried to pass to each other. First visit to this ground today, and no offence to London Tigers but what a dump, how is that ground allowed in the prem? I stood in the worst stand iv ever seen for the second half and iv now been to a lot of ssml grounds.

Went there last season when the car park was so flooded the only way to get in the "clubhouse" and to pitchside was in wellies!  At least 6 inches of water behind the goal, and the pitch wasn't much better.  I have to agree, the facilities are basic at best, and certainly not up to standard.

Im sure it will be good for all involved if they did move to another ground, might help their league position too as they do try to play good football at times. You can see that the bare minimum has been spent at the viking, must be depressing having to go there 25+ times a year!

Its a shame as they have a top notch secretary at London Tigers FC who does everything for the club on match days.

Yeah, really nice guy, served me in clubhouse when I arrived and the young lad helping out too who did the gate and half time tea and coffee ( in proper cups like levy) and nearly didnt charge me until I asked how much I owed him. The car park was only under about 2/3 inches in the worst places especially by the corner flag on the entrance side where it really stank which meant hopping the rail and crossing via the corner of the pitch. The lack of home support is a real shame too, I saw 2 or 3 guys there I didnt recognize and the rest were Berko fans and some players family.

Hanwell at our place on tuesday, hopefully we can avenge our first game defeat and keep the title run in interesting.

Very 'professional' win for our first team yday. 3-0 vs Wooton.

Credit to Wooton as they tried to play the right way right up until the last minute but truth be told we were too strong, too fit, very well organised and could've been 6 or 7 nil if it wasn't for some awful finishing and a couple of worldies from their stand in gk.

The loss of Jamie Warne for the rest of the season to a break of his wrist in 2 places put a bit of a dampener of things we wish him a speedy recovery.

Game was switched last minute by the ref onto the 3G because of a hole in the pitch, but all (players/management and esp Commitee) reacted and adjusted very well.

As much as I don't like playing on it (back, hips and knees are in bits) 3G is the future.

Totally agree Mick is one in a million. The ground though leaves alot to the imagination.

Anyone know the name of the keeper they had earlier on in the season? Really nice guy

They have seven goalkeepers currently registered with the League

Shaun O'Byrne, Martin Oborne, Richard Roberts, James Ryan, Ashley Smith, James Weatherill and David Willmer - Does that narrow it down for you Neutral

James Weatherill I believe is current number 1 at Aylesbury FC if that helps narrow it down a tiny bit :)

Your Ressies don't seem to be having any problem finishing at the moment, DirtyClaret why not call a few of them up!

To be fair we have had 4 or 5 lads from Rezys regularly involved with us, Freemo, Lui, Sawyer, S Harvey, and Ant Wright and all have done very well when called upon, but is still quite a difference in standards between div2reserves and sml div1, all learning their trades and no doubt will be regulars for years to come.

Yeah no real fan base of any sort at London Tigers FC but you do tend to get a few ground hoppers down there that add a few to the numbers.
