FA Vase Quarter Finals

Recommended Posts

Strengthening the team. Yep we will sign someone and leave out a player that has fought for 7 months to get us where we are. Craig is very strong on loyalty and he gives it back to his players. They got us to the quarter finals and win or lose they will get the chance to play.

Are they the same loyal players that went on a Beano to Amsterdam this past weekend, leaving CB short of quality? Or at least, that's what I was told...

Ouch.

So did Ampthill's squad actually go away to 'Dam leaving Craig in the lurch?

Maybe Ampthill will fall short of winning the league this season..........but after what Craig has done no one has the right to criticise,,

least of all a cricket sharing bunch of failures............and the magic whatever are a shite band

So are Ampthill Town mainly focusing on the Vase then ?

Not a good idea. They WILL go out in the next round. My son lives in Newhaven and when I visit him down there, I often try to get him out to watch football even though he doesn't seem to like it, neither does his "flat mate" but that's another story.

I've seen Eastbourne play and they are a great footballing side, their style is better than any ssml team I've seen. And they have a habit of beating teams that don't play football, so Ampthill are doomed. They played an Amptihill-esque side in the last round (dirty, long ball merchants, cheats, etc) and smashed them 6-1 so I think we all know where this is heading. They SHOULD concentrate on the league, not go on jolly-ups during the season.

I don't think it could be a tougher draw could it

Newhaven FC have done well over the last few season's and there ground is no longer the White Elephant of Sussex.

Yeah its going to be a tough game for Ampthill Town.

Just the once this season. But you know what they say, class is permanent. By all acounts They've improved from last year, it could be embarrassing for Ampthill. Good night out though, sure the jolly boys will enjoy that regardless of the result.

Long ball merchants slightly harsh? ... I'd say on a long ball scale of 1-10 (1 being Dunstable Town 12/13. And 10 being St Mags) Ampthill are prob a 8.5/9 for me.

And did you're son and he's "flat mate" catch much of the itv show Splash by anychance?

Oh fella's theres no need to get all upset? ... i wasn't personally disregarding there style of football or putting them down like RebHongford i was just stating my personal opinion. I mean lets not forget the great Hillingdon side that made the FA Vase Final with Dave Lawrence, Ryan Wharton and big Danny Tilburn up top? Banging the ball direct and kicking lumps out of you're opposition just generally works for teams like you. And when you have speedy wingers like st.Mags Roberts and doggy midfielders like Warren Garcia that'll chase a bone for 90mins it can work to devestating effect.
