Travelled over to Hitchin in response to “game definitely ON if no further rain” message left by Baldock Town at 3.50pm. No further rain and arrived at Hitchin at 7.10pm to see floodlights on. Popped into Waitrose for a few items and got to ground at 7.30pm to find lights out and no explanation. No update on club website or on forum from “Baldock Town” tonight? Irritating.

Agreed. There was little Baldock could have done to let everyone know about the situation after a 7.15pm postponement.

 

However, as there was no rain that afternoon, they (or another match official called in by them) were obviously 'far too optimistic' in posting "..game definitely ON if no further rain...” at 3.50pm.
