Tuesday 18th February – Kick Off 7.45pm unless stated

 

MIDDLESEX SENIOR CUP QUARTER FINAL

Ashford Town (Middx) v Harefield United

 

OFF

 

Game to be played next Tuesday so that now means our game at Harefield United next Tuesday is now off  :wall:

 

Maybe tonites game against St Margaretsbury can be moved to next Tuesday ?

Afraid not as St Margaretsbury have a game next Tuesday, the cup tie is moved to next Thursday but rest assured I will be giving you a re-arranged game.next Tuesday as well.

Just got back from our game against Kings Langley and I have to say after what I witnessed tonight I am glad I am not associated with Kings Langley as if I was I would've been totally embarrassed tonight with our players constant whinging and our manager's total over reaction to every pass, tackle, header, shot and challenge that happened during the game, he made Perry look quiet, that's how bad it was!!

I got out of the house to avoid the moaning and whinging but after what I have witnessed I should of stayed at home even my Mrs can't moan and whinge like that for 90 mins!!!

Says a supporter whose Manager whinges and over reacts to every pass, tackle, header, shot and challenge during a game.......

 

The only difference between the sides is that the Kings Langley bench 'take it in turns', whereas Perry does it all himself.

 If you would like to take the whole quote I mentioned Perry did I not? And seeing as you know so much about Kings Langley how about their players then? Funny you didn't fancy taking that quote!!

Yes you mentioned Perry, and in my view (with no allegiance to either side), he is 'more vocal' than most of the bench inhabitants in the SSMFL.

 

I didn't see last night's game, and therefore I cannot comment on the KL players, but when I have seen them they have been no worse than many other SSMFL sides.

Ok that's fine and as you say you can't comment on the game because you weren't there, so coming from someone who was at the game, let me assure you that the moaning and whinging coming from the Management and Players of KL was the worst I have seen this season (which bearing in mind I have been watching Perry all season really is something lol) and I stand by my comment that if I was associated with KL I would've been totally embarrassed last night.

Can I just ask - are you embarrassed by Perry's behaviour at most games?

Are most people and KL embarrassed by their managers behaviour most games? Cos from games I've been to judging by what I have heard complaints about they should be then. To be honest other than his screaming and shouting which I only think got out of hand v Buckingham Ath and he got told about I believe by people he's not anywhere near as bad as people make out I see exactly the same level from benches week in week out only he gets goaded or singles out. Perry is abrasive he knows that it's his nature, I guess most people just want fluffy people, me I don't care I see worse on the way to work most mornings and I don't cry about it. Without naming names he has had two managers scream celebrations etc in his face (Perry never celebrates a goal cos he he says it can always come back and bite you) he has had several benches make threats to him and people on our bench throughout games, something he has never done. I wasn't at the game so can't comment on what happened. We lost to another side above us that's the only real important thing. Frankly I don't care, all I will say is everyone acts as if they are white as white then come on here and talk about how bad everyone else is. Before these forums things on and off the field were the same but forums and social media appear to have turned players, managers, supporters etc.. Into moaning, gossiping old women who sit on moral high horses blind to their own behaviours (teams behaviours) i rarely comment on stuff like that as in the end it is playground b!tching. Seems everyone is a bit sensitive these days, all a bit soft. Certainly don't make them like they used too. ;-)
