Surely it's cheaper for clubs to invest in covers for the pitches???

Ok it wouldn't get the games on under a hard frost but that's not usually the issue,it's more snow and in particular rain which has led to postponements this season.

While not cheap,surely if every club had covers then the costs of these would reduced quite dramatically if mass purchased

The difficulty with any debate around tippy tap football is that those who benefit from it ( e.g home advantage through familiarity, cash cow etc ) are hardly likely to recommend the knocking off of the goose that lays the golden synthetic egg.

 

I find the anti-football I have seen not to be to my taste, but accept that some will be defensive of it out of club loyalty. Whenever possible, I do take my custom elsewhere, if tippy tap is what is on offer...that's is my choice as the consumer.

 

Finding solutions that preserve the integrity of proper football might take some thought and investment, but hopefully some will make the effort and not just leave proper football to the higher levels of the game.

No I don't sell pitch covers.

I do however sell Airport Transfers & we do weddings,functions,nights out etc in our fleet of 8 Seaters.
