readingrebel
Another good thing for us is that Dunstable have had two players, including top scorer Lee Roach, suspended for 4/5 matches starting 22/2 when we play them.
HorshamRebel
Only if the game is actually played in the suspension period. The way this weather is going it might not be.

readingrebel
Got to feel sorry for Daventry, providing no more matches are called off they've still got 21 games to play.
Martin
Not really, last season we played 22 league games and two Red Insure Cup games between the 16th February and27th April
Stuntman Mark
No sympathy for them whatsoever. Hopefully it ruins their season and we can capitalize.
Sue
Wow Mark that is fierce for you love ! Graham, do not laugh but unless he was winding me up, Aidan mentioned something about Barton covering their pitch. If that is true it worked, if its not, Aidan will be in a lot of pain !! readingrebel
Can well believe it as Barton are one of the money teams this season and obviously don't want a fixture pile up to ruin their promotion chances.

readingrebel
Shame it's come a bit late for our postponed game on the Saturday where Barton could have recouped some of their outlay. Probably cost a few thousand, perhaps we could have a whip round to ensure our games at SYCOB are on. It says 'waterproof' but would it also help for frost and snow? Mark44
Would imagine so....... If it covers the whole pitch then will pick up all the snow and overnight serface water that usually causes the problems........
brighton_rebel
couldn't we get one?
A Rebel and a Saint
I had been thinking why don't clubs (or even leagues or the FA) just invest in large sheeting to use if heavy and persistent rain is forecast. Surely it would be a cheaper alternative to digging up hundreds of pitches and replacing them with 3G (at least in the short to medium term) and could help get a few more games on. I'm sure its not as simple as that as each ground is very different but could be worth considering. I know MyFC have been looking for more ways to put money into the club, maybe they could at least help to fund it if it is a viable idea.
weenie
I know MyFC have been looking for more ways to put money into the club, maybe they could at least help to fund it if it is a viable idea. 1) Is this something the club wants and 2) how much would such sheeting cost?
