Steed_UK
Shocker! Of course without proper funding most clubs would struggle to find the required cash for that little endeavour anyway, so a bit of a moot point really IMO...soz
blue pilgrim
Of course they were going to say no - they see Maidstone as a threat to their cosy members club.
The Town Crier
We had this discussion last night. I would have voted no. The reason being, I think it would be the beginning of the end to the football we all know and love. Watching competitive matches on an artificial surface would have the feeling of an artificial game to me.
rich the pipe
I think players should sign a disclaimer at the beginning of each season, so refs won't be afraid of being sued because they feel a pitch is playable but challenging
mcth
Watching competitive matches on an artificial surface would have the feeling of an artificial game to me. Not necessarily disagreeing but just wondered how many competitive matches you've seen played on the new 3G pitches. People have memories of those hideous pitches at QPR, Luton and others but the new surfaces are unrecognisable from artificial pitches of yesteryear. I haven't yet got round to visiting Maidstone or Harlow but I've seen top division league matches in Sweden on these pitches and was pleasantly surprised. Barry Proudfoot
Wouldnt it just be a bit easier for all concerned if we just agreed to play when it was a bit muddier than usual. Its worked ok in the past, so why not now?
