Tom
Saturday's game is doubtful with the pitch currently under water. A further update will be provided tomorrow but the forecast is for rain ahead of Saturday.
Curtis
Do you think that posts like that could potentially have a negative effect on attendances? Is it possible that advising on a Thursday lunchtime that a Saturday home match is 'doubtful' could lead to some fans making alternate plans for Saturday? Sue
Tom was probably asked to put this on and i think the majority of Slough fans wont make any other arrangements unless they are sure the game is off so I wouldnt worry on that count. I'm sure they would rather know early than turn up at the ground then being told. I'd rather the heads up.

A Rebel and a Saint
Neil has tweeted a couple of photos this morning. There is a large amount of standing water. Inspection only to confirm game off from the looks of it.

Sir Rebel1965
Tom - Thank you for advising on Thursday that this game may be off due to the weather, it has allowed me to plan for other arrangements for today if the game did not go ahead, now that the game is off I don't waste the day. Another valued activity by our volunteer web site staff.

readingrebel
Look on the bright side, at least it gives the SYCOB groundsmen a chance to work on the pitch in preparation for next weeks game.

Don Juan DeMarcus
That your pitch survived the rain, its a testament to the improvements done there.
mal316
Apart from the heavy snow and maybe a couple if others, we haven't had a game called off at home due to the weather for a few years.
GarySTFC
Perhaps next time it is wet, we should try this. http://metro.co.uk/2014/02/01/bundesliga-club-use-helicopter-as-giant-hair-dryer-to-dry-waterlogged-pitch-4286769/
