Rebels Radio!

I have missed most games this season due to being in Derby for university and so have been missing my football fix, so I have tried to listen to the rebels radio and have managed to listen to most of the last few and I have be VERY VERY IMPRESSED.

Its not premier league standard commentary and you don't get the sense of the atmosphere in the ground but it very easy to follow what is happening in the match plus john tries to get other peoples opinions during the match as well. It is very entertaining and insightful as to what is happening.

IF I could get to the matches then I would and I urge anyone who can go to the matches to go rather than listen online but if you can't go then the commentary is fantastic.

The commentary is great considering John's a 'novice' and totally agree with you - getting to the matches is a must if you can. The radio is for those of us who live too far away.

For those unable to make the match against Royston tomorrow, link HERE for the commentary.

Thanks Weenie.

IMO Rebels Radio has been great for those supporters who cannot make games and a great step forward for Slough Town football club.

I will be at the game tomorrow supporting the Rebels in what is a massive game in our push for the play-offs but if you can't attend the game Rebels Radio is an absolute must for all the Rebels supporters.

As another Rebel living overseas, the increased coverage -- the website, twitter, videos and radio commentary -- have been invaluable and are a credit to all of those involved. Also, great to have a management team who are very open and pro-active.

Couldn't make tonight for a couple of reasons and listened to an hour of the commentary. I had no technical problems at all and thought it was excellent. Very entertaining and much appreciated.

I didn't get to the game either but felt like I was there in spirit, through the excellence of

the Rebels Radio broadcast.Thought John and Adrian, the co commentators bounced of each other

well and kept the listeners informed.A vast improvement to the first offering.

A worthy place to hear the action,if you can't attend the game in person.

Really enjoyed my first effort at commentating last night , glad so many people found it of use. Did feel strange watching the game from the press box rather than behind the goal giving the keeper grief. Big thanks to Jon for his help and the opportunity of doing this , hopefully the first of many

Have to say I listen back to all the commentaries, as John is one of my best mates, and I continue to be impressed.

He is getting better and better, and it is also helpful when he has someone to bounce off, as can be very difficult on your own, and Mick, Bettsy and Adrian have been excellent in helping with this.

After people were a bit sceptical at the beginning, I think most have come round to the fact that this has been a huge positive for the club, not just for the match commentaries, but also the interviews.

From a managers point of view, it gets over our thoughts and comments pre and post games, without worrying how we might be portrayed in the paper etc, plus it keeps you the fans up to date with injuries, decisions etc.

John has really taken to it, and not only knows all there is to know about the current team, he does his research on the other teams, so that when he is talking he is not coming over bias etc.

Not sure if people have seen the amount of unique views for the game last night, it was over 160, which I think is great, funnily enough I have spoken to 2 managers today, both who listened to the majority of the game also.

Great effort, however like we all say, it is better that people are there in spirit and supporting the lads, but this is not always possible, and when not possible you have Rebels Radio.

Hopefully see a good number of you at Hayes tomorrow. COYR

My daughter (Kim) said that she listens to Rebels radio at work on the PC, and the mobile phone in her car (with both hands on the steering wheel) on her way home, she said it's brilliant but a little nerve wreaking, much better than twitter, but we still need twitter.
