Rebels Radio!

A great first time effort from John -  loved his celebration when the first goal went in, it sounded like he was watching Brazil! ;) Shame about the technical hitch in the second half but it was well worth tuning in.

Hopefully, there will be commentary at the North Greenford match, weather-permitting.

There are a lot of um's and arr's at the start of the broadcast which irritates but hopefully this will be ironed out, by the more broadcasts, the commentator does.

Fair play, for the commentator putting himself up to do it, I'm sure most of us Rebel fans would make a complete hash of it, I know I would !

He improves the longer he comments and he speaks good English and his voice is clear and gives the listener plenty of info.So as the song goes 'Things can only get better'.

A good first time effort.

Having got into bed with MYFC, accepted their sponsorship etc., giving them access to commentaries is a very positive initiative.

But unless the commentator is a professional broadcaster there's no chance it will have any real impact on attendances.

Amateur commentaries are only for the desperate, and unless you have absolutely no alternative, after the 1st one you tune into, it's highly unlikely you'll want to go back for more!!

Good luck and respect to the guy doing it though. Brave man!

Have you listened to the commentary?  It's excellent.

Update from John @myfcrebelsradio re match vs Potters Bar this Saturday:

"

I can confirm that Bakes and I visited Potters Bar to watch the match against Daventry on Tuesday.

They do have a couple of seats in the main stand designated as the "Press Box" and STFC have gained permission....so I expect to be broadcasting alongside the fans on Saturday (weather and 3G signal permitting) in the first away day for Rebels Radio."

I have missed most games this season due to being in Derby for university and so have been missing my football fix, so I have tried to listen to the rebels radio and have managed to listen to most of the last few and I have be VERY VERY IMPRESSED.

Its not premier league standard commentary and you don't get the sense of the atmosphere in the ground but it very easy to follow what is happening in the match plus john tries to get other peoples opinions during the match as well. It is very entertaining and insightful as to what is happening.

IF I could get to the matches then I would and I urge anyone who can go to the matches to go rather than listen online but if you can't go then the commentary is fantastic.
