Jab_n17
Your club having a vote to see about installing it??? no need for 3G when you have a sliding roof .....more the Maidstone issue regarding if they get promoted and the vote allowing them to use 3G in the South and above. Coffin Ender
Thing is, are the clubs in Conf South going to vote to allow in a club that gets 2,000 crowds and might sign all their best players?
I am Spartacus
Don't often give the Dover chairman much time but if you want a view from a Conference club chairman you should read his thoughts on this on his clubs website. Puts the finances of 3g into perspective as well.
michael
On balance i am in favour, but mr parmenter does makes some very valid points-many of which were new on me will it get sanctioned-would be amazed if it did-conference premier clubs who have the power in the vote are hardly likely to make it more difficult for the league to achieve 3 up/3 down. until the football league allow it- i can't see how the conference will vote in favour. where will that leave maidstone-no idea-but you do wonder whether some sort of compromise/fudge will be agree to allow them into conf south-on the basis that they resort to grass in two years-and in those two years-it may get a yes vote ? Guernsey Tom
Tend to agree with Mr P, whereas 3G is great for all weather training and Community participation its not for me for competitive games, I cant believe Maidstone would have scored 7 goals on a muddy pitch as others have this time of the year. So for me it is an unfair "playing field" We have an advantage as a 3G pitch at Hartsdown would presumably be near the stadium, Maidstone have no room for both so if they want progression as I am sure they do, seems to me they will have to return to grass, should be an interesting meeting though
