Oxhey Jets lose yet another one of last season's stars

Recommended Posts

After losing many of last season's promotion-chasing stars, it seems one of the players who stuck with them has finally lost patience with the Jets side, who are a shadow of their former selves. Chris "Mac Daddy" McIntyre has found himself back in familiar surroundings at the top of end of the table with Berko, after playing a "behind closed doors " trial match.

After seeing him play a lot last season, I'm an admirer of the strapping centre-half and wish him well at his new club.

There was a kit clash and Oxhey forgot their change strip so Berko lent them the kit....................

Jess (if that is your real name), there's one tiny, little problem with your cover up.... Oxhey Jets home strip is blue, their away strip is green, since when has blue OR green ever clashed with Berko's white OR yellow kits???

And if, for one second, you expect me to believe that Oxhey Jet's Chairman/Physio/General Manager/Photographer/Kitman/Barman/Reserve Team Goalkeeper Coach and all-round good guy Ron Elliot forgot the kit, then you must think I was born yesterday!

This was indeed a behind-closed-doors clash and Mac Daddy should be announced as a Berko player in the next couple of weeks.

To be honest with the current cash floating around berkhamsted this transfer doesn't suprise me. Him and Ed 'Crusher' Canham(as his known around the village) could strike up something special at the back.

Yes, Jess is my real name Mr Hongfield. Retired Oxhey keeper. Nice try but as I said in my post, they didn't have their change kit and the referee would not let both teams play in blue shorts hence borrowing the kit. Unfortunately I didn't chose the best game to attend, what with a 5-0 reverse
