Official Statement from the FA

The details received from both Clubs have been taken into consideration by the Vase Committee Chairman Mark Frost and the decision is that the tie is now dated to be played on Tuesday 4 February at Hanwell Town at 7.45 subject to a pitch inspection at Hanwell Town at an agreed time either
on Monday
 afternoon or early
on Tuesday
morning and if the pitch is not playable then the ie is switched to Ashford United on Tuesday 4 February at 7.45 subject to the Ashford United pitch been playable.

However if postponed on
Tue 4 Feb
at either ground then it will be played at Ashford United on
Sat 9 Feb at 3pm
but again subject to the pitch been playable but further arrangements if on
Sat 9 Feb
 will be confirmed
on Wednesday
 if required,

No doubt both clubs will have concerns on this decision and any reasonable alternative suggestion can be considered or if both clubs were able to mutually agree to an alternative situation then please advise and this will be considered.

I think that is reasonable. I can understand when games are moved because one teams pitch is never going to be playable, but this is a problem across the whole area for many weeks now and games at higher levels are being affected.

It would have been very unfair, in these circumstances, for any team to lose the right to play at home in such a big competition.

How are you going to troll SB Rhodes if Hanwell get the game on?

Well I hope they do manage to get it on

FA Vase match - Hanwell Town v Ashford UTD is now off. Pitch inspection at 2pm ruled pitch unplayable due to small patch that has not recovered and suffered more damage due to rain this morning.

The match is now switched

Match will now be played on Saturday 8th February at Ashford
