Hanwell v Ashford utd game to be switched?

Recommended Posts

Suggest you find a neutral ground for this game.

What makes you think changing it to Homelands is gonna help the cause? ;)

Blimey,we all know the reputation that grounds got

If it rains in Kent, then you aint got no chance!

This could drag on a long time

It's starting to resemble the infamous Haringey Borough v Fisher London Senior Cup tie from a couple of season ago isn't it

There's a message on Ashford United's website, you can tell, reading between the lines, that the Club are tearing their hair out:

FA Vase Vs Hanwell

Despite rumours of this fixture being switched to Homelands, we are still scheduled to play our FA Vase 4th round tie at Hanwells home ground, Perivale Lane, on Saturday 1st February.

We have been in contact with the FA, and are still awaiting clarification and direction, and as such cannot give any further information.

Any decision lies entirely with the FA, and as reported elsewhere, http://aq.be/98d799, any change would be given to us by Thursday 30th January at the latest.

We will update the fans as soon as we have any further information or clarification.

What is the current state of play at Reynolds Field ahead of Saturday and taking into account last night's fixture with Harefield United was called off

I take it Ashford's pitch could well be waterlogged as well.

It won't be any worse than Reynolds Field though will it

Makes no difference. The home team is entitled to play at home. The FA never move the games. Any way their home game on Tuesday was postponed so it makes no difference where the game is played.
