I am Spartacus
I won't tell you what I did but I do not think the crime merited the punishment of having to go to Deadwood. All I can say is that Chipstead were not very good but Ramsgutter were even worse. If this is the best they can offer no wonder there crowds are descending to a level that will not be able to sustain them even at this level. The lack of encouragement from the bench was appaling at times I thought the ramsgutter management must have been mutes as not a word came from them. No wonder the ramlets did not know what to do. Finally I will not misbehave the way I have done again as this was really a dreadfull punishment to have been given.
michael
But you do enough pre-match scouting ? Chipstead obviously carried out their managers pre-match instructions precisely : 'play awful but win the game' http://nonleague.pitchero.com/news/win-vital-for-chipstead-28442/ Boy-do i wish Margate could play rubbish and win. less of this entertaining nonsense -Margate-please just win Up the 'Gate
blueblood
The Rams management looked like men awaiting the chop. Remind me to go to Faversham, Whitstable, Herne bay or Deal, anywhere bar deadwood.
Eastside Urchin
What crowds do they get now???
Margate Don
Crowd is an inappropriate word. There were small groups of around 6 to 10 behind the two goals, about a dozen Margate supporters and quite a few oldies asleep in the stand. There was also a group of 4 or 5 yuffs circumnavigating the pitch and 5 or 6 kids playing chase. Attendance was given as 166 which was announced over the tannoy in Polish. Eastside Urchin
To be fair,a crowd of 166 on a cold wet January day in Ryman South isn't exactly the worst!!! Not when we had 187 against Wingate on a Saturday a few weeks back!!

Agree Donald not a very good attendnce, but slighty more than the 153 you had against Thurrock, the 138 against Folkestone in a cup game local derby as well, the 142 against Carrshalton, and 154 against Wingate and Finchley, and the cup game against Hastings 103. Nuff said

Nuff said but most of those games were on Tuesday nights where crowds are down anyway plus other football on TV etc lot of supporters stay at home so don't think that's a comparison to be fair...sorry all of those on a Tuesday night

I agree with your assessment of yesterdays game at Southwood, exactly how I felt when watching a couple of games at Fallingdown Park this season. blueblood
I honestly hope you do get promoted Mr Sanderson, it would be great to see you in the premier league and, have a true local derby at Christmas / new year. From what I saw on Saturday though your present team are a country mile from the level required, I was shocked to see our ex local full back/centre 1/2 so off his old Ryman Premier fitness levels. I still cannot get my head around the lack of passion from the management, the lack of coaching coming from the bench. Have they run out of ideas or is this just normal. Love or loathe him at least Jim Ward always had his heart on his sleeve. Congratulations are in order though for the seating in the stand, much appreciated. BlueGate Alan
Nice bites there from the Ramsgate fans. Just for information Ramsgate average gate is 160, highest was 224 v Herne Bay, lowest 118 against Sittingbourne. Considering they are near the play off places and local Kent derbies surely they cant be happy with that? Ours is 335, highest, of course was Maidstone 887 and lowest Carshalton on a wet n windy Tuesday night with 142. These figures do not include any cup games.
