East Thurrock 1 Hx 2

cup of tea

Terrible conditions, poor pitch especially in the goalmouth and appaling weather. Game was a lottery and I'm glad I'm back in the warm. Good goal from Stefan. Take the three points, hope there's no injuries and move on.

think the pitch would've been better if it wasn't for the poor weather.

But then unless your Maidstone, i expect pitches to be poor this time of year.

Good result for us and we held in there in those poor conditions this afternoon.

East Thurrock must feel sick with the disallowed goal in the final stages of the game. But then, we've all been there.

A good result and very good first half. This time it was the second half where we couldn't maintain control of the game enough. Today it was enough, but we must be careful when we play better sides. Cray should be another tough game after their good win today and Dulwich will be huge for us. Lets hope we keep the results going as they have been recently to push on.

A big well done to fans of both sides the weather at the end was terrible rain going horizontal but the faithful stayed until the end also now glad to be in the warm and dry. 3 points earned onward and upward

Glad we had the 2 goal cushion at half time!

Everyone to a man dug in and played their part. The second half became a bit of a farce with the strong wind and had that storm appeared 20 minutes earlier I feel the game could've been abandoned.

Well played the boys.

Exquisite control from Stefan for his first goal.

Would've liked to have seen clip of their disallowed "goal".

And yet more rain today, fingers etc crossed for Tuesday

Pakman - A free kick was awarded almost on the half way line five minutes from time, and immediately it was taken, up went the linesman’s flag. The ball ended up in the net, and East Thurrock’s celebrations were quickly cut short – the decision – and correctly so – was that Inigo was impeded (it used to be called obstructed) by the home forwards, and therefore an indirect free kick as the home forwards were in an offside position.

Dust bin lid? Is that an oblique reference to the "Y" word?
