Rubbish

At what point do we start questioning the ability of the management team? All the talk was about getting in the playoffs this year. As it stands we will be glad to avoid relegation, and we are supposedly paying superstar wages.

Tonight's performance was abysmal. I thought we were lucky to be 2-0 up and said to my mate at half time we are going to lose. That's not being clever, because I bet most of you thought the same.

Somebody answer this and give me hope, because at the moment I am in despair.

Can't give you hope because you are right, it was rubbish.

Don't anybody blame the sending off, it was going wrong way before that.

The second half desperate performance was awful to watch. Not a lot of fight in the players, just hoofing long ball.

I am all for giving the new regime time but when you have such a big change in playing staff I don't think it is wrong to expect an improvement in performance. So far there has been none.

Can you pick my lottery numbers? I never go to a game thinking we will lose...always hope to win! Then maybe Im just an optimist but I will be there supporting my club/team whatever happens.

Nobody is saying they won't keep supporting the club, just questioning things. That doesn't make anybody less of a supporter.

The only positives that i got from last night were a five or ten minute period in the first half when the team showed real energy in closing down the opposition (I am sure that is what TB must be looking for), and a quality goal from Riviere. Oh, and Walshy played well in the first half, winning a lot in the air and holding the ball up effectively. Unfotunately there was no-one feeding off him.

We have to believe that TB will turn it around and give him time to do that - it is not going to be play-offs this season. It doesn't stop us querying his decisions, though. The biggest puzzle seems to be why he has let two good young full-backs go, when the lads he has brought in aren't looking that great. I thought that he would have shored up our shaky defence as a first priority, but not on the evidence of last night.

not going to be to critical as it's still work in progress but would have liked to see some improvement on the field of play, at present it's just not happening......hell of a lot of work to do in the next few months for TB and co

You may recall that i regarded it as complete folly to change the manager mid season, when the previous management team were doing ok.

for what its worth-i reckon long term  (trusting he sticks around which was my biggest concern) TB will achieve a top 5 finish in 2015/16,

nothing wrong with TB and SC-i am sure they will do ok, but i was and remain upset with the timing of the change.

Its just chaos the way i read it.

Out of chaos eventually comes good-but is all this upheavel really necessary ?

i tend to have more respect for a manager who can get more out of an existing team as opposed to changing everything in one go.

one or two players fine-but 75% of the team-with more to come and go -not so sure whether the timing is quite right.

i thought his criticism of the previous squad was a bit harsh.

as it seems the players are being signed with a play-off push in 2014/15 in mind-frankly-are the in coming players that much better than those asked to leave ?

again-i am sure medium term he will prove to be a mighty fine manager for margate, and nothing against him-just feel that it was all a bit unfair on Osborn, but i am probably getting soft in my older age

would Osborn have got more than 4 points out of the last 21 ?

Lets not forget how good the opposition were last night, they were excellent and played the best football I have seen at Hartsdown Park for many a season, real quality up front, not sure we will play any better teams this season. As for the usual negative stuff above, plays off this season was always a long shot, but next season there will be no excuses if we are not at least in a play off spot, none of this 2015/16 nonsence!!

said to my mate at half time we are going to lose.

Sorry it was when it went 2-1, I was thinking that was before half time. And I have calmed down a bit now, so maybe rubbish is too strong a word.

Fair play to some players, particularly Walshie who worked hard for the ball. But we are not linking up on the wings, and our two central defenders seem to get in each other's way. And I have to say the opposition's work rate was higher than ours, although I don't agree they were the best team we have played.

Incidentally, to whoever it was, I will continue to go to games and support the team. I went to nearly all the games at Ashford when we really were total cr@p, and I am not generally a pessimist.

It is just frustrating after all that promotion talk, that we seem to have got new players who are no better than the ones they replaced, and nobody is offering an explanation about what is going wrong. The buck has to stop somewhere.

trouble with replying to posts on my phone is I cant get the smileys in  :) I wasn't saying anyone was not supporting the club or any less a supporter (my best mate is an exile and I wouldn't dream of questioning his loyalty to the club for not being behind the goal for home games)

I was just saying I'll be there encouraging the team come what may, letting you know how I feel and that I'm here for the long haul (you guys might want to invest in some earplugs :P
