Still on course to stay up - no need to panic

As I wrote a couple of weeks ago, we'll probably need 47-50 points to stay up and that we'll need to win every other game whilst also picking up the odd point here and there. We've done that since then. Getting something from tonight's game would have been a bonus, but losing was factored into the estimate and therefore doesn't change anything.

Winning on Saturday against Canvey would keep us on course for survival and ensure that there is no need to panic.

Liam and Noel (maybe?) will be back then and the The Ultras will be the 12th man.

Bit of a disappointing result last night, not helped by the absence of a couple of key players. There are still plenty of points to play for and time for us to pull away from the drop zone. Hopefully, we can put a winning sequence together sooner than later, starting this Saturday.

We have a good, very experienced manager, and George knows what needs to be done to turn things around. Encouraging to see that he is continuing to strengthen our squad of players, with the signing today of defender Ryan Doyle from Heybridge Swifts.

Welcome Ryan, and the very best of luck to George and the boys when we entertain Canvey Island on Saturday.
