FA Vase 5th Round

Recommended Posts

Some people just go to football games as an excuse tp start violence, they couldn't care less about the football. There's no space for these people in ssml football if you ask me. I say lock them all in a St Margs toilet and let them get on with it.

You would think so but most of the Ampthill quara had a drink in there hand to help give them the balls to sing ;)

I thought the Ampthill stewards all 3 or 4 of them did there best to be honest.

If Ampthill stewards were that  bad how come we had an email from the FA congratulating us on how we handled the game and particularly the way  in which we handled the  unsavoury incident. We were also informed by The Hanwell officials that one of the guys ejected was an absolute nutter and one of the hardest guys in west London.

Where did I say they were that bad.

Ok guys all calm down. Yes there was an incident the 2 Hanwell supporters were ejected from the ground. Ampthill had 5 stewards at the game they also tried to prevent as much alcohol from going out of the clubhouse and kept sending people back inside. No one is perfect it was a good day in all. Rhodes stop stirring **** thank you

All I'm asking is why was the incident swept under the carpet, if it hadn't been for the letter in the Non League paper last Sunday nobody would have known about it

Not every incident at every game is reported. Either way I mentioned it in my match summary, but then that doesn't mean anything to you.

I see that there's another letter in today's Non League paper suggesting that the 'we are the A's you are the gays' chant didn't happen:

Like John Sanderson, I was also at the FA Vase tie between Ampthill Town and Hanwell Town, a cracking cup tie even if it was a bit feisty at times. I find it rather sad that from such a good afternoon's entertainment the only thing Mr Sanderson chooses to mention is his claim that he heard chants of 'we are the A's you are the gays' from Ampthill supporters towards the opposition. Personally I didn't hear any such chants and I've never heard any mention or suggestion around the ground that it may have been the case. I do find it rather tiresome when people try and play the 'homophobic abuse card' at every opportunity.

Yep It was a good game but its over now Ampthill Town won so lets move on

Shouldn't we try to get to the bottom of the alleged homophobic chant
