Savagebee
Ampthill Town v Hanwell Town or Ashford Utd to be played 15th Feb Wow what a game that will be if we make it through. Edited January 20, 2014 by Savagebee
Winslow Boy
Shame they drawn together but if Hanwell win and hopefully they will at least an SSML side will reach last 8, first time since Chalfont St Peter reached semi and I seem to remember Berko in a semi

petethegreek
Congratulations to Ampthill Town on their fine win today. Two teams in the hat. Hope they avoid each other in the next round. I wouldn't bet on it, is the draw still regionalised or can they meet the likes of Spennymoor, Morpeth Town, Newcastle Benfield, West Auckland Town or Dunston UTS I blame Rhodes. SG24
At least Rhodes will be relieved they haven't got a long away journey to organise!
Neutral
Would you believe it! To make it worse I can't go either! Very selfishly hoping for snow so I can go to the replay!
Rhodes
Wow what a game that will be if we make it through. You have to make Ampthill slight favourites with home advantage if, as you say, Hanwell make it through against Ashford
Uncle T
What a great draw. We were playing Ampthill that day. Chance to go and see the game if it works out.
Munchkin
Shame they drawn together but if Hanwell win and hopefully they will at least an SSML side will reach last 8, first time since Chalfont St Peter reached semi and I seem to remember Berko in a semi I think Berkhamsted Town won it, but they were in the Ryman then. Didn't Hillingdon get to the final /semi a few years back.

Don't think Berko ever won it did they? I'm sure both them and Chalfont had semi finals with crowds over 1000+
Karen Browne
The only two clubs to win the FA Vase are Hoddesdon Town (1974/75) and Arlesey Town (1994/95) and both were members of the South Midlands League (before the merger with the Spartan League). Members of the Spartan South Midlands League with best FA Vase records are Hillingdon Borough beaten finalists in 2005/06 and they had a semi final crowd of 723. Chalfont St Peter reached semi final in 2008/09 and for their semi final attracted a crowd of 1185. Southall (whilst members of the Isthmian League) reached the final in 1985/86 Berkhamsted (whilst members of the Isthmian League) reached the final in 2000/01 and had a crowd of 1,542 for their semi final. Winslow Boy
Cheers KB, interesting stats. Can't believe it was that recent for Hillingdon. Arlesey beat Oxford City, (my dad had left Oxford City the season before I think)
Neutral
Would love to see Hillingdon regain it's former might- they were a big side once.
Rhodes
Ampthill Town v Hanwell Town or Ashford Utd to be played 15th Feb I think if Hanwell beat Ashford on Saturday the Chairmen of both Club's should send a brief letter to the FA just to make a point and put on record that they find it somewhat of a coincidence that both SSML Club's drew each other. RussWycombe
Been looking forward to going to Ampthill for a while, this looks a good game to see, not fussed about Cheltenham v Wycombe

Savagebee
Would love to see Hillingdon regain it's former might- they were a big side once. Don't think it will happen which is a shame as they are good people at Hillingdon Borough FC but I feel the football club is slowly being pushed out of the ground by the stadium owners. Heard a rumour that Hillingdon Borough FC have to pay rent when they use the dressing rooms ? also Hillingdon Borough FC get sod all of the bar takings ?
