I contacted the Project Manager for the Kennedy Park Project at the Borough Council to ask if the Feasibility Study had started yet:

 

1. The telephone number for the project manager given on all Slough Council references is wrong - it is 01753 787636.

 

2. In any case she is not there until at least 19/11 - despite the fact this is the third time I have tried to contact her over weeks....every time she will be back at the end of next week.

 

3. No there isn't anybody else who can answer the question but the project manager.

 

4. No, nobody else would know anything about the project.

 

5. There isn't anybody else covering her job whilst she is away

 

6. Slough Town Football Club, is there one?......

 

Get the feeling we've been here before - promise them something, just get them off our backs, and keep those pesky drummers away - you can't get a decent quiet day at work etc etc!

$od all this casino and hotel $hite, how much would it cost to build a 6000 capacity conference grade stadium with two adjoining training pitch and one astroturf pitch ala Tooting & Mitcham?

More than Deaner can afford probably.

I understand that Slough Council are moving forward with this project, If Deaner does not come up with the goods they will be looking for other backers, as this project will be for the good of the town...

 

So as a trust we may have to take on running the football club, where ever...but at the moment Martin has the ear of the council and that is where it is....at the moment.

 

Remember if we form a new club we will start again from the bottom and this may take 10 years to get back to our current position ...and how many of our supporters will stick out this type of ride ??

 

As most only attend because of the football and do not get involved or want too....

 

I agree this can't go on .... we need facts and a light at the end of the tunnel....

 

but how we get there ...needs to be a careful and planned course of actions....this is why our Trust set up needs to be right and properly done,

we are are on an amazing new learning curve...which needs effort and support from each and every member not just the few...and this needs to be total committement not just for the start of the project but for ever and ever....

What a load of B******s. I would like to get involed with trust, but you seem to want keep it with your little clique.

Do we have plenty of anonymous helpers with the trust? No. Are we always asking for extra help? Yes. Are Chris S and Mike doing things properly? Yes. Are they doing a good job without resources? Yes.

 

If you want to help, come and speak to them, or me, at the home game tonight. They'll be happy to have extra hands helping out as and where possible.

 

Rather than using expletives, why not try and be constructive at least with your comments?

So get a proposer and seconded and get voted in...

I'm presuming it's you Roge? Don't you think my whining is justified then? I certainly don't believe yours is because I know first hand how much Chris works for this club and how much effort he puts in in comparison to those of us who simply turn up for matches, pay our money and go home again.
