Here's a tip for you: we are not interested in you or your views

Gosh, how terribly insular of you.

Part of what I enjoy about non league football is the fact that you can have a chat with away supporters, and although there's often a tiny bit of banter, everyone's friendly and respectful of each other and their teams.

It's extremely rare to come across someone who is unwilling to engage in conversation at all.

But I guess an inferiority complex is a very restricting affliction.

Rother, you are welcome to post on this forum. I enjoy[usually] reading posts from other teams non-league footy fans.

In defence of Windsor Rebel,he is a stalwart Slough Town FC supporter, who is passionate to the cause.I think you rubbed him up the wrong way with your initial post.

I think you knew you would stir things up with your reference to our manager's supposed wages and this Martin Stone rumour.

How would you feel, if a Slough fan came on the Windsor forum and said Mick Woodham was on fantastic wages and was going to be replaced by, say, Jon Underwood.

Would you have been happy?

I didn't say that was the case did I?

I said that was what I had been told but that I considered (and incidentally told him) it was bollocks.

Do you not think it's stretching a point to view that as shit stirring?

Yes I can have a subtle small banter dig occasionally for a bit of fun but if you take off the brown filter some insist on reading my posts through, and just see them as they are, I think you'll generally see a fair minded approach to all things Slough.

This is where everyone has problems with the written word.

The writer puts something down meaning only one thing.

The reader then reads it in whatever mood they happen to be in and those same words have a completely different meaning or inflection to them

At the same time loads of other people read the same words and come up with their own personal views.

Some of which may match the original composers.

if the same words were spoken face to face then this hardly ever happens

The writing word, especially the sarcastic and "in jest" versions, is a very strong tool that plays on all readers minds
