Not only is Mark44 right that it would have to be one in one out but why would the good players of Burnham drop down a level when there will be teams at the same level or above who will probably already have approached a lot of them who can also offer them a lot more money than we can?

 

I wouldn't be surprised if moneybags Hungerford Town haven't already got their sticky paws on a few of them.

Similar thing happened last year and we brought as much of windsor a squad as we could. Although not holding the signings responsible (some were good) I think that was when things took a downturn and we started drifting down the league

I thought the players we brought in were ex Windsor players i.e. Jake Parsons, O'Toole and Anthony who had moved on from Windsor to higher clubs.

I think Martin Stone would love the Slough manager's job, and a few of his cronies would like him to get it too.

 

The trouble is that just isn't the right way to go IMO, as the current managers, Neil and Jon, are doing a fantastic job and have rebuilt the squad so they are competitive, play fast up tempo football, have great team spirit and even though they are working to financial restrictions,have managed to keep morale high and have given, us fans,mostly things to cheer about.

They have been a breath of fresh air in terms of openness and approachability and are great at bringing youth through.

 

No manager/s are perfect but it would be a backward step, if we undo the good work they've achieved this season.

If we were languishing in the relegation or lower in the table positions, then maybe such a suggestion would be considered but we're not.
