Rhodes
France have made a grave mistake in electing the inexperienced and uncharismatic Francois Hollande who, incredibly, has never held Ministerial office and is the first Socialist to win the French Presidency since the controversial Francois Mitterand in 1988. Hollande is quoted as saying he dislikes the rich and has singled out the World of finance as his principal enemy, whatever that means, he wants to slap a 75% tax rate on those earning more than a million Euros a year. As for Mr Hollande's personal life, I would rather not go there, his partner, Valerie Trierweller, is the very first unmarried 'Premier Dame' in French history and was embarrassingly revealed as Hollande's lover when he coldly seperated from the loyal Mother of his four children whom he was with for thirty years, this says everything about the man who became the French President yesterday. Twice, yes twice, divorced Ms Trierweller is nicknamed 'the rottweller', after she slapped a colleague at Paris Match magazine and it is felt that former Premier Dame Carla Bruni will seem like low maintenance in future compared to her. The French people are no fools but it's hard to see what on earth they were thinking in electing Hollande and not sticking with Nicolas Sarkozy who was an excellent and innovative President during his tenure and of course married Carla Bruni during his eventful Presidency in what was a fairy tale story, their baby was the first ever child born to a sitting French President. What do we think of Francois Hollande's recent antics folks, in an amazing twist to the scandal it is believed that Hollande's mistress, 41 year old Julie Gayet, is four months pregnant although it is unclear whether the baby is the beleaguered French President's: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2539431/Is-Hollandes-mistress-four-months-pregnant-Twitter-speculation-rife-French-blog-post-actress-41-spreads.html
blue pilgrim
What do you expect from a nation that eats garlic and snails and continues to have a chip on it's shoulder because it had to be rescued by the Allies?
Loose
It's almost a requirement of french politicians to have these affairs. It's not the first time is it? Perhaps it's all an effort to convince the french voters of the virility, strength and appeal of the person in question. No doubt this post will upset Rhodesly in some manner and he will take issue with it.

French citizens have a different view on life as do their politicians. Not having a mistress or having had affairs would be the surprise, in a sense it is almost desirable that your leading politician does. Perhaps you should read up and acquaint yourself with the subject for a change.

I would much rather be with an intellectual woman, such as Edwina Curry for example, who you can at least have a decent conversation with than a bimbo who doesn't know what day it is.
