Tonight's ETFC game

It was a very enjoyable game tonight for about 100 town fans.

 

5 minutes Lee Smith scored a lovely shot passed the keeper.

 

17 minutes Brad Quinn scored a lovely looping header from the edge of the box over the keeper and into the net.

 

22 minutes Lee smith again on fire with yet another sprint into openground and slide pass the keeper. 3 - 0

 

Second half saw Penalties to both teams and Ian Cooper slotted the ball in the net for the town.

 

Some virtuoso runs in the first half from David Allen, and Billy Cove. In the second half Ian Cooper picked the ball up in his own half went round numerous players and narrowly missed scoring passed the Chelsmford keeper.

 

Those who saw the mist didn't miss the scene, those that missed the scene missed an enjoyable game. As the patchy fog ebbed and flowed.

 

A great team performance with great saves from Nick Christofi in goal in the first half. Johnny Rids (2) and Johnny Hyatt (3) back in defence with Adam Gantt (4).

 

Midfield was Brad Quinn (Captain), David Allen and Brad Brotherton with Billy Cove dropping back.

 

To chants of its just like watching Brazil town played well (in second strip) and got back on track.

 

Chelmsford City's no 7 was called Gorgeous which earnt a song of "Your Gorgeous".

 

Chelmsford City came back strongly towards the end as town tired but Brad Brotherton headed well off the line after the keeper was lobbed.

 

A well earned win against the clarets. Friendly? hmm! maybe next time!

I think your estimate is rather high. I would say the total attendance was around 100 with a similar number of supporters for each team.
