Enfield United
I recently had a reason to go past the old Brimsdown Rovers FC Ground we used to share. Whats going on around their? The outside ground looks like an old Coal Mining site, absolutely destroying the park pitches the youth teams played their local tournaments and youth teams on. The ground itself looks a shambles as well. I'm sure their are trojan folk putting hours of effort and their own time into running the area but goodness me it was unreognisable. It made our place look like The Emirates, but better of course.
lovely stuff
Do ETFC still hold the 50% lease agreement on that ground ,or did we relinquish that when we move to Donkey Lane.?
OldTowner
Did hear that if 1893 gain promotion that they will leave the Borough and play at Harlow. Not sure if this is true or just a rumour.

OldTowner
Not at all. Heard that ground was in poor condition. They won't be able to play Ryman football there and Harlow is an option. No wooden spoon !!!!!!!!! Just keep my ears to the ground.

andyetfc
Seriously. If our club needs as much income as possible, then surely there must be a business case for hiring out the pitch to EFC. We already do it for one off games.

andyetfc
And if any other club came knocking at the door wanting to hire the facilities on a regular basis? Would we turn them away or increase the possible revenue streams?
lovely stuff
I don't feel that hiring out the pitch to Brimsdown 1893 would be something that our club would consider. Two clubs using the same ground that do not particularly like eachother or wish eachother good fortune, would not be a good combination.I personally wouldn't want them anywhere near something that so many have worked so hard to achieve..I think we need to be wary about hiring the facilities to other teams as well..The increased revenue would be nice, but the pitch would suffer, as would general wear and tear ..Look at how Goldsdown road has gone down hill since they started hiring out the facilities to various other clubs. andyetfc
I have nothing against the people from EFC. In terms of the pitch, it is already being used a lot by many different teams/age groups.
lovely stuff
Which Non-ETFC teams use our pitch during the season? Would also be surprised if other ETFC teams apart from First Team/Reserves/U18's/Ladies first-team, are using the pitch during the season (except in special circumstances)
