dannyriding
After all of the hype of the past few weeks I think we all set our selves up for a game that we would dominate and trounce any team that was put in front of us today and truthfully I was amongst those that thought we were invincible..... and then the realisation that although TB and SC are formidable in non-league they are not miracle workers and maybe todays opponents were a little too savvy for the cobbled together team of (SuttonFC and Margate FC). First twenty minutes we were privy to a very attacking display by out boys in blue and truthfully thought we were goinbg to rip Hendon a new one.... however no-one told their No 7 as he ripped our defence apart and provided their attack an easy conversion from a position he should not have been able to obtain. Our second goal came( thankfully) before the whistle which came from a set piece in which we saw probably the smallest guy on the pitch (jamie Stuart) head home to make the score 2-1. Second half was really all Hendon as they made the most of the wings and played the ball swiftly around the pitch where we seemed to only have plan A. Their second and third goals were speculative but assured and really should'nt have happened. TB took off a midfielder and put on Gary Borrowdale and later on put on Dean Mcdonald and Mr ademeno in place of two other midfielders but to no real effect...... if Im honest I was surprised he never went two up front and took Mr Walsh off as he was getting no joy with their defence. Right now for the Dannyriding bit........ Im all for the new chairman/owner and Im 100% behind TB and Co and the team he is assembling looks on paper to be awsome.... so lets give them the time they need to gel this new team and produce the highlights that we used to have in days gone past... that shocked you didnt it

Honeymoon period is now officially over, lets get to it
Jab_n17
at present it's a building process, gona be highs and lows whist the squad is assembled. As mentioned on another post the rest of this season is the foundations for the next season experimenting with players, systems etc etc etc. Ok always good to win and shift up the table but realistically playoff place is going to be difficult, but you never know stranger things happen in football and that would be a real bonus. To be fair TB has only been in charge for 4 games or so, postponements due to the weather more then likely training effected also so not the ideal start with a new club. So stick with it everyone things will, I'm sure fall into place eventually!!!!!
blueblood
"Honeymoon is over". I would hope I had the energy to make it last a lot longer than this. I personally feel we are still in the car on the way from the reception to the Hotel with, plenty of passionate Saturdays and Tuesdays to look forward to. I would like to hope that the Laslett ownership becomes a family dynasty (Ipswich) that will take us all the way through to sitting in the stand, watching the Great Grand kids (players) growing up out on the field. Coffin Ender
Hendon looked a decent side. Probably not enough strength in depth to reach the play-offs but good enough to pull off results like yesterday's.
