Just catching up with the weekend write ups and action, sounds like a scrappy win for Berko but there the 3 points all top teams need! Huge well done to Ampthill great win , they love a cup run. But my favourite result at the weekend was a Fantastic draw for AFC against Cockyfosters. Steve Heath top man hope he starts picking things up there. Also a good result for Hoddy ... I noticed a familiar orange jacket in the crowd there too , wasnt our man Reb H watching was it?

I can't go anywhere these days!

 

Was a good game, jets would've won if it wasn't for the fact that there was a slight wind going against them in the first half that seemed to die down in the second half, they are having some cruel luck at the moment. I'm sure the non-biased match report will talk about in more detail though.

 

Lee Armitt must've been born offside, can't see him getting the goals to push them up the table. Frustrating for Beardsmore who was threading balls through to Putman this time last year, this season they're being wasted on Armitt.

Big call that, you won't convince me it was the right one.  The ball was in the net before he finished blowing his whistle.  Wrong!

He started to blow the whistle before the ball was in the net so nothing wrong in Law when disallowing the goal.

Got to laugh at this, I can't imagine why he would blow the whilstle when he did..surely he is just asking for trouble?

 

If there was that little time left why not blow before the ball goes out for the corner or wait for the corner to be cleared...only talking about seconds!

Reminds me of the time my under 10s team equalised from a corner only for the referee to blow for full time as the striker struck the ball...the referee in question was my Dad!!!

I had one of these many years ago away at MK City he blew after the ball had left my foot on the volley and was still blowing as it hit the net, his verdict goal didn't count!!! We still one but I was livid.

The ref had gone over added time by at least a minute maybe 2 before the ball went out for the corner. Should have blown for full time long before this "controversy". Still its the referees decision in the end and right or wrong we have to accept it, they rarely ever change their mind over anything.

I agree, it would be common sense to do so Pete, the ref was quite young if I remember correctly so perhaps he isnt as wise and experienced as yourself. As the saying goes you learn from your mistakes.
