petethegreek
Anyone have news of how Clubs stand in relation to Points Per Game?Is there a chance, like last season, of more than 1 Club being promoted to Step 4?
Neutral
Two clubs were promoted lat season due to the restructuring of step 4- unless they're making the league above bigger again I don't think it will be a case of 2 up again this season (although it would make things a lot more interesting!) SG24
I think it's wrong to have only one promotion place for any division. It protects the poorer teams in the leagues above. Minimum 2 promotion spots, I would add a 3rd from a play off. Too many mediocre clubs exist in a comfort zone because the chances of relegation are slim in non league
former no 9
What about the fact that Hinkely Utd went bust 2 leagues above surely that will open up an opportunity
Munchkin
Will most likely mean one less relegation on a PPG basis.
Neutral
Even if the Hinckley going bust case does mean an extra promotion spot- it'll be fought for between loads of leagues
Uncle T
Promoting teams should be quality only and the bottom placed club should always be relegated. In this way only quality is rewarded.
Munchkin
I see this discussion every season. The FA have historically not shown any interest in rewarding success and consistently reprieved clubs instead. Obviously I don't agree, but I would be amazed if they changed stance now.
