I WOULD JUST LIKE TO SAY THAT CONSIDERING ILFORD ARE ONE OF THE BEST TEAMS WE HAVE PLAYED THIS SEASON, WHAT A PLEASANT CHANGE THAT THE SUPPORTERS WERE QUITE FRIENDLY AND NOT AT ALL ABUSIVE, UNLIKE SOME. I HOPE ENFIELD DO NOT SUFFER THE SAME FATE AS BASILDON SINCE PLAYING ROMFORD, NINE OF THE TEAM WENT DOWN WITH FLU WITHIN THE FOLLOWING FEW DAYS AND ALTHOUGH THERES NOT MANY SO DID THE SUPPORTERS. SOMETHING IN THE WATER PERHAPS?

That'll explain why the Town players kept their distance from the Romford players!

NO EXCUSES THE BEST TEAM WON ON THE DAY, THE FACT WE DON'T HAVE A BIG ENOUGH SQUAD OF PLAYERS TO CALL ON IS BASILDONS PROBLEM NOBODY ELSES. I HONESTLY HOPE THAT YOUR TEAM OR ANY OTHER ISN'T HIT WITH IT IN THE SAME WAY BASILDON WERE.

WHATEVER I SAY WILL BE TURNED INTO 'LOOKING FOR EXCUSES' WHICH I AM NOT, YES YOU ARE RIGHT AND THE REASON FOR IT WHO KNOWS, I DONT THINK THE [****!!****] UP WITH THE LEAGUE SUSPENDING THE ABBEY MATCH HELPED WHEN WE PLAYED ROMFORD WE LOOKED LIKE A TEAM THAT HAD NOT PLAYED FOR TWO WEEKS, AND HONESTLY HANDS UP EIGHT PLAYERS WHO PLAYED SATURDAY HAD BEEN ILL AND SOME OF THEM ACTUALLY PLAYED WITH THE FLU WHICH IS A SHAME BECAUSE IT DID NOT GIVE A TRUE REFLECTION OF WHAT MIGHT HAVE BEEN. STILL THATS FOOTBALL FOR YOU

Hey Bas take a tip from the Townies and be magmanimous (no it's not an ice cream) in defeat. If your lot hadn't wanted to fight amongst yourselves at Rush Green Road, you may have gotten something from the game. But you did and you lost, so stop whinging about having players missing. It is after all the Essex Senior League not the Champions League.
